The Angel & Jerry Novak vs. David Jones & Gene Spurlock (7/9/83)

This is from GCW Superstars.

“Superstar” Bill Dundee vs. Jeff Young (7/9/83)

Also from GCW Superstars.

Buzz & Zbyszko cut a promo on their enemies.

Roddy Piper makes his return to TBS and cuts a promo on Buzz Sawyer and tells the fans why he hasn’t been on TBS lately. The Piper/Sawyer saga is slam dunk extra material. (7/23/83)

“Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Tony Zane (7/23/83)

Sawyer takes his Piper aggression out on Zane.

Wild Bill Irwin cuts a promo about whipping Tommy Rich at the Omni on 7/17/83.

Sawyer then cuts a promo on Piper.

Greg Valentine sends in a taped promo on Pez Whatley who he is facing at the Omni on 7/31/83 then they show a taped match against Tom Prichard from Mid-Atlantic.

Ronnie Garvin vs. Bob Brown (7/23/83)

Squash with Garvin using a modified piledriver that looked like he just laid him on the mat.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Arn Anderson & Mr. Wrestling II (7/23/83)

This is their first competitive match on TV as II gets some offense in and doesn’t get destroyed. It would break down into a 4-way brawl and a sloppy one at that. Zbyszko would then come out and attacked II letting Arn get defeated.

Mr. Wrestling (Jesse Barr) vs. Pat Rose (7/23/83)

I liked this gimmick as they brought Barr in to work as a heel version of Mr. Wrestling and uses Mr. Wrestling II’s Million Dollar Kneelift as a finisher. II does commentary and doesn’t like this.

Sawyer cuts another angry promo on Piper.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) then squash some unnamed jobbers. (7/23/83)

Tommy Rich comes to the desk with a strap ready to counter Irwin before his match and has to be escorted out.

Wild Bill Irwin vs. Bob Brown (7/30/83)

Squash.

Sawyer then cuts another angry promo on Piper demanding he show up in person not on tape. Sawyer then jumps in the ring demanding Piper.

Mr. Wrestling (Tim Woods) & Mr. Wrestling II come out to talk about the heel Mr. Wrestling and they call him a total fake.

Valentine then sends in another taped promo on Whatley.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Randy Barber & Tracy Stohr (7/30/83)

Squash.

Next is a taped match with Jack & Jerry Brisco vs. Keith Larsen & Rick McCord from World Wide with Ole narrating with Solie.

Piper sends in another taped promo with Sawyer saying that he is too chicken to show up live.

“Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Tracy Stohr (7/30/83)

Buzz destroys this guy. Sawyer then calls out Piper some more and Piper sneaks behind him and the war is on. Piper gets a belly-to-belly on Sawyer and has to be pulled off.

Piper then holds off Irwin on the floor as Tommy Rich wrestles his match. Great stuff and more extra material.

Then we get another taped Valentine match.

Irwin & Sawyer cut a promo with Sawyer breaking wood over his head making blood run down.

Mr. Wrestling (Tim Woods) & Mr. Wrestling II vs. Bob Brown & Zane Smith (7/30/83)

Too bad we don’t have footage of the masked men when they were in their prime as a team. This is a really long job match. Roadies come out after the match for a staredown with the masked men inviting them to come in the ring but they walk away.

Jack & Jerry Brisco send in a taped promo on the Roadies.

Then we get a taped match of Iron Sheik vs. Tony Zane.

Next is a Roddy Piper/Ken Timbs match from World Wide.

Then a Greg Valentine/Mike Davis match from Mid-Atlantic.

Piper sends in a taped promo behind a steel cage talking about his war with Sawyer. (8/6/83)

Larry Zbyszko vs. Bob Brown (8/6/83)

Squash.

One gripe I have is that whoever taped this hated babyfaces most of the time and there was a Ronnie Garvin/Brett Wayne match that had the open on here but was not shown.

Next is the EPIC Breakfast with the Mad Dog and this is as slam dunk as it gets for an extra.

“Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Chief Joe Lightfoot (8/6/83)

Sawyer is vicious here.

Valentine sends in another taped promo on Whatley as they are having a rematch at the Omni on 8/14/83.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Arn Anderson & David Jones (8/6/83)

Arn is now a jobber.
