-Arena complete match with Hunter/Jonathan Boyd v Pat Tanaka/Allan West:

Hunter/Boyd are an awesome heel tag team and wish Tanaka had better face tag partner than West.

 

-Studio Bigalow and Lawler v Rough and Ready- I don’t think of either Lawler or Bigalow as guys who just fucking eat up and destroy jobbers but holy shit this was a beat down

 

-Bubba/Goliath v Haskins/Thomson: squash

 

-Shima,Goto,Tojo,Hunter,Boy Tony v Jarret, Mark Starr, Allan West, JT Southern, Paul Diamond: Expiration of time match that goes about 11 minutes with DQ finish. Really fun as strong heel team beats on each guy till the hot tag and then face control till heels beat down and hot tag in endless cycle.

Brickhouse Brown, Jt Southern, Soultrain Jones, Allan West v Hunter, Boyd, Bubba, Goliath: not as cool a heel team as last weeks main. Allan West not out in beginning so worked handicap till West comes out and he and Hunter brawl through interview table. Before match starts Boyd mentions “This is like the Jerry Lawler coloring book, cause West is red and Brickhouse and Soultrain are already colored…”

Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Hulk Hogan (2/9/81)

 

Yep this is the famous match as Jimmy Hart has brought in Hogan from WWF to take care of the King. Lawler comes riding in on a fucking white horse in a tremendous entrance. This is clipped up but I think we need to put this on as an extra because of the significance of the match which wasn’t much at the time but as Hogan became a bigger star the significance grew.

This ends up being a handicap match but the bloody West would eventually show up getting the match called a DQ. West & Hunter then have a wild brawl at the desk.
