“Wildfire” Tommy Rich vs. Bob Roop (9/3/83)

This was a good back and forth match with Roop getting a good bit of offense in and is very fluid going from move-to-move. Roop throws some nice suplexes and Tommy even uses a couple of his own to counter Roop. Rich wins in the punch department as he gets some good shots in but it seemed like every time one man went for a big move the other would counter. Rich would press slam Roop off the top rope and when Roop tried to do the same he got cradled for the win. This was a fun match and I’m throwing it on the block.

Then we get clips of Rich/Irwin from the Omni on 8/28/83 with Kabuki attacking Rich.

King Kong Bundy sends in his debut promo from Mid-South and this also marks Jim Ross’ debut on TBS.

“Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. David Jones (9/3/83)

Squash.

Next is a JYD promo from Mid-South on Buzz.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Mike Jackson & Chief Joe Lightfoot (9/3/83)

Pretty much a squash. Brett Wayne would come out to watch the match and Ole Anderson goes over there to try to get him to step away.

Larry Zbyszko vs. Randy Barber (9/3/83)

Squash.

Valentine sends in another taped promo on Whatley setting up a Texas Death Match at the Omni on 9/11/83.

Mr. Wrestling (Jesse Barr) vs. Bob Brown (9/3/83)

Squash. II would attack the fake Mr. Wrestling after the match.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts sends in his debut promo and a legend is born.

Then we get a Jerry Brisco/Red Dog Lane match from World Wide.

Ted DiBiase vs. Chief Joe Lightfoot (9/10/83)

DiBiase makes his return to TBS after over a year and a half absence and the fans notice a style change.

“Mad Dog” Buzz Sawyer vs. Tony Zane (9/10/83)

Squash.

Next is a JYD taped promo on Sawyer.

Brett Wayne vs. Wild Bill Irwin (9/10/83)

This was a decent match seeing Tommy Rich cheer Brett on from the floor which would distract Irwin before long and caused him to get cradled by Brett to lose the match.

Bundy then sends in a taped promo from Houston.

Wild Bill Irwin vs. Pat Rose (9/10/83)

Squash.

Ted DiBiase vs. Tony Zane (9/10/83)

More DiBiase goodness.

Mr. Wrestling II vs. Mr. Wrestling (Jesse Barr) (9/10/83)

This starts with some good mat wrestling before Mr. Wrestling started bringing the intensity and trying to pull II’s mask off. He really works on it before II starts firing shots to break it up and kicks him stiff in the chest. II starts pounding on Wrestling and goes for his mask before the Roadies would run in for the DQ. The heels go for II’s mask but the faces would make the save.

Next is the EPIC Jake the Snake video to In The Flesh by Pink Floyd. Definite extra material.

Ted DiBiase vs. Aaron Holt (9/17/83)

Squash.

King Kong Bundy makes his debut at TBS Studios calling out Ernie Ladd.

Next we get clips of Ted DiBiase officially turning heel by helping the Roadies attack Garvin & II at the Omni on 9/11/83.

DiBiase would then attack Rich after a squash match until the faces make the save.

Then they show clips of the Armstrongs against John Studd & Super Destroyer as they are coming back to GCW to face the Roadies.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Randy Barber & David Jones (9/17/83)

Squash.

Handicap Match: King Kong Bundy vs. Aaron Holt & Tony Zane (9/17/83)

Squash.

Brett Wayne vs. Larry Zbyszko (9/17/83)

This actually starts with a clean handshake. II & Bruno Jr. are back out watching Larry getting on his nerves and it works. Pretty good little match with Brett getting a clean win over the National champ with a German Suplex hold.

Sawyer is cutting a promo on everyone until Dusty Rhodes shows up in a big surprise demanding that Sawyer face him in the ring. Dusty cuts a great promo on Sawyer where he imitates a dog. This was Dusty’s first appearance at TBS Studios in over a year. Fun stuff.
