I think there was a Torch Annual feature on him around that time too. But the Sabu matches and matches he had on the same shows as Sabu that got distributed widely got him notice. He looked good at the NWA tourney as well which was right before ECW & SMW. The ECW run was only a few months as Cornette could offer him more dates, and I'm assuming more total $ as a result.

Snow worked a lot of bigger northeast and midwest indies during that run. There is a shocking amount of random Snow fancam footage from the period floating around out there, a lot of which was pimped via one of the PWI advertisers pretty regularly. I would be a liar if I said I knew names or dates, but there was a famous"25 foot ladder match", the sabu matches, the aforementioned Benoit match and I think at least one highly touted match with the pre-Taz, Tasmaniac.

It makes sense, since Cornette needed a new tag team partner/mouthpiece for Unabom after Eddie Gilbert burned his last bridge in wrestling (not that it would have mattered, since he died a month later anyway). Since everybody raved about his work, and he showed he could actually talk a little, it helped him get a job.

Yeah, Al was a bit of a indy legend like Waltman, Lynn and Sabu. He was a darling before he even got to ECW. Paul sort of took him because he was a darling.

I think you'll find a decent amount of him in the Here & There section of the WON in 1992-94 before he got there.

As to what matches... someone out there must have put together a comp at some point.
