July 24, 200817 yr comment_5433228 Patera in World’s Strongest Man is definite extra material. Grapplers make their debut in the studio destroying jobbers and the RnR Express. Fun stuff. (5/14/83) Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Jeff Van Kamp (7/9/83) This is a fun match with the future Lord Humongous using his strength to play around with Lawler before Lawler decides to win the match. “Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol, “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton, Jerry “The King” Lawler, & Stagger Lee vs. Don Bass, Jimmy Kent, Rick Link, & Duke Myers (7/9/83) What a babyface team and they are awesome here. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. The Grapplers (Tony Anthony & Len Denton) (12/10/83) Short but fun. Next we get the LeDuc video that they always air when he comes into Memphis. Then we get the buildup for the Lawler/Savage cage match and this is all definite extra material especially Macho showing up at the studio for the first time. 2 out of 3 falls: The Bruise Brothers (Porkchop Cash & Dream Machine) & The Grapplers (Tony Anthony & Len Denton) vs. “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton, The Jaguar (Ken Wayne), Dirty Dutch Mantell, & Stagger Lee (12/10/83) To prove that there are no problems in the family, Hart tells the Moondogs to stay in the back and wants the Grapplers to team with the Bruisers here since they are wrestling each other on Monday. After some good action in the 1st fall sure enough there is dissension in the ranks after some miscommunication prompting a DQ when Hart jumps in the ring to stop them. The 2nd fall was much better than the 1st one as the action gets even better with everyone looking good taking all kinds of big bumps. This should move forward. Between falls of this match, Dutch comes out for a promo on Condrey and talks about a fight he had with Savage back when they were working in Georgia brawling on I-20 and that is fucking great.
