Bull Nakano vs. Jaguar Yokota - I had high hopes for this given the participants, and Jaguar did some nice stuff. But Bull didn't do much, it was short and I can't see it making the set. JB Angels & Yukari Omori vs. Lioness Asuka, Yumi Ogura & Mika Komatsu - This was a fast, athletic match with a lot of state-of-the-art moves in the first fall and a nifty Omori-Asuka slugfest in the third. Didn't feel like much was at stake, however. December 1985 TV: Crush Girls sing: Jaguar Yokota vs. Yukari Omori - These are two of my favorite Joshi workers of the decade, but this was pretty disappointing. Lioness Asuka vs. Jumbo Hori - Asuka took a nasty bump on a missed tope. Hori then drilled her with a power bomb and kept after her back and neck. Hori was a really good worker -- agile for a large woman and willing to bump, yet very convincing with her power stuff. Asuka rallied to win with a sharpshooter. I liked this enough to throw it a low-level nomination. Hisako Uno vs. Megumi Nakamae - A spunky draw but nothing too noteworthy. Interview with Class of 1985 rookies: Uno, Suzuki, Iwamoto, Nishiwaki, etc. Jumbo Hori (w/ Yukari Omori) feature, wrestlers give their thoughts about Hori Jumbo Hori retirement 5 minute exhibition: Jumbo Hori vs. Yukari Omori - This was actually sort of touching as Hori seemed broken up at the tribute. Lioness Asuka & Yukari Omori vs. Dump Matsumoto & Condor Saito - This actually built the Dump/Chigusa rivalry as the faces won because Dump was distracted by trying to kill Nagayo. Omori did a great sell job on her leg but the match fell short of set-worthy. Hisako Uno vs. Akemi Sakamoto - Really short. Bull Nakano vs. Yumi Ogura - Two excellent workers but match lacked any kind of build. 1985 TV: Crush Girls sing Kyoko Aso vs. Megumi Nakamae - Blah. Noriyo Tateno, Kazue Nagahori & Kanako Nagatomo vs. Bull Nakano, Condor Saito & Monica Castillo - The story of this match was built around Monsta Rippa as a cheating, thug referee. The wrestling wasn't terribly interesting. Yukari Omori & Jaguar Yokota vs. Yumi Ogura & Mika Komatsu - Dump got involved, even though she had no horse in this contest. Omori won with a nasty German into a bridge but that might have been the only thing memorable about the match. Crush Girls vs. Devil Masami & Jumbo Hori - This was fast and violent, with every move feeling contested. Devil and Chigusa gave a glimpse of their great chemistry. Nomination.
