Posted June 5, 200817 yr comment_5432015 Tommy Rogers vs. Les Thornton (12/31/83) Les is supposed to wrestle Pat Rose but he wants Rogers since Ole Anderson pushes his name all the time and Rogers accepts his challenge. Now this was a fun wrestling match as both men were competing with each other to see who could counter the other one the best. Both men were slick in their movements and brought different things to the table as Rogers had the speed but Thornton had the power although both were equal in their intensity. Tempers would flare and it would lead to a slugfest but it had one of the best finishes I’ve seen in a while as Thornton hit a deep butterfly suplex but Rogers held on to Thornton’s head and would roll him in a cradle for the win. Solid nomination.
