Posted June 5, 200817 yr comment_5432046 Nothing of note here. Only one Memphis show sandwiched between Georgia show and a WWF show. Big angle over course of show is that on last arena show Rude and Bundy wrestled Savage and Lawler in a tag match which the heels won when hart interfered, and than in the triple chance battle royale Bundy and Rude won for ring one while Savage and Lawler won ring two, the two teams wrestled only to have Hart interfere. To solve the problem Lawler gets the promoter to set up a six man with Rude,Bundy and Hart v Lawler, Savage and a mystery partner. Hart fakes a neck injury he suffered by tweaking it to reach the water fountain. Jarrett comes out does a super sincere talk about how the reason he didn’t fight back when attacked by heels is that he’s retired promoter with eye damage who might suffer detached retina if he gets involved in anything physical. Rude and Bundy and Savage and Lawler do a arena brawl. Hart comes to conclusion that Jarrett is mystery partner and comes back out removing neckbrace agreeing to match “against doctors orders” knowing he can beat Jarrett. Lawler does spot with Jarrett teasing that Jarrett will be mystery partner only for Handsome Jimmy to come out in end. The whole set up is well done but I’d like it to have better VQ before considering any of that angle as extra. Matches: Roberson/Eddy Gilbert v Dutch Mantell, Tommy Rich Rude/Bundy v jobbers Destroyers v v Rufus R Jones, Mark Regan (Regan working as Rufus nephew) Dr D v Jerry Lawler Dirty White Boys v New Generation Dr D is a masked former Dallas Cowboy who was fined multiple times for beating up own teammates in practice. Jerry Lawler is wearing full Browns outfit that was given to him by his different friends on the Cleveland Browns team (with suggestion that everything he is wrestling has been autographed).
