Les Thornton vs. Bruno Sammartino Jr. (2/11/84)

Jay Youngblood is on commentary. Thornton was a fucking crowbar here and he broke Bruno’s nose with a crossface. This match goes through a commercial break and both men were still on the mat working holds. Thornton would get up and just started working on the nose beating the fuck out of him with shots before the time would expire. This was an interesting match to say the least.

Next we get footage of Bob Armstrong in the hospital after his plastic surgery with Scott Armstrong reading a prepared letter. This is extra material.

National Heavyweight Title: Ted DiBiase © vs. Mr. R (2/18/84)

Well this Mr. R looks different than the one we are used to seeing that’s for sure. Mr. R starts throwing dropkicks around sending DiBiase to the floor and he looks dumbfounded knowing something’s up. Mr. R would continue the onslaught but DiBiase would cut him off and gained control. DiBiase kept going for the mask leaving himself open to shots and it caught up to him as Mr. R would make a comeback with some great punches. He would miss a dropkick though and DiBiase chunked him to the floor where he could load up the glove. DiBiase would miss a shot and Mr. R hit the Thesz Press for a nearfall but DiBiase caught him in the gut with the glove. DiBiase went for the mask and ripped it off as Tommy Rich waves at DiBiase from the desk. Mr. R in the ring was revealed as Brad Armstrong and he rolled up DiBiase for the 3 count and won the title. This was great stuff and I think that this is more of an extra although the match was pretty good.

Nikolai Volkoff sends in a taped promo from Mid-South announcing his coming to Georgia. Bundy would then challenge Volkoff in a promo from the studio.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts & The Spoiler vs. Johnny Rich & Larry Santana (2/18/84)

Squash. Ronnie Garvin would run the heels off.

Brad Armstrong comes out with his newly won National title and thanked everyone for their support.

“Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs. Jesse Barr (2/18/84)

This was a damn good match as Barr got in a lot of offense and Flair looked awesome. Barr even got to make a comeback but Flair would soon lock him up in an inside cradle for the win. Fuck it I’m throwing this on the block as this was a solid TV match.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Mike Starbuck & Dale Veasy (2/18/84)

Squash.

DiBiase comes out crying about losing the title.

Next we get a Harley Race squash from the AWA.

DiBiase & Ole Anderson get into it at the desk about being disrespected. (2/25/84)

Brad Armstrong vs. Les Thornton (2/25/84)

This started out with some fine mat wrestling with both men trading the advantage but Thornton would start throwing European uppercuts to loosen Brad up but it didn’t work as Brad took him back to the mat. Brad hung with Les move for move here especially on a butterfly suplex by Thornton as Brad held onto the arm and rolled over. The pace would pick up as Brad got an O’Connor Roll for a nearfall then a dropkick that sent Thornton to the floor. Thornton would come back to the ring and would regain the advantage but as he tried a knee to the ribs, Brad grabbed it and schoolboyed him for the pin. This was another damn good match involving Thornton and it goes on the block.

King Kong Bundy vs. Joe Turner (2/25/84)

Squash.

Next is replay of the DiBiase/Mr. R match from the previous week.

National TV Title: Jake “The Snake” Roberts © vs. “Hands of Stone” Ronnie Garvin (2/25/84)

The fans voted his as their dream match and Garvin comes out at the bell for the win as he gets a quick inside cradle for a nearfall. Jake really controls the early part of the match using a rope to choke Garvin on the mat and kept Garvin grounded for a long while. Garvin would punch Jake in the side to break up the attack and started firing punches to the body in bunches. Jake takes a real pounding here and Ellering tries to get him to leave the ring but he won’t so Jake takes another way out as he punches Scrappy McGowan for the DQ. Garvin doesn’t care though as he continues to beat the hell out of Jake befor a big pull apart with all the jobbers coming out. Fun while it lasted.

Then we get a Jimmy Valiant/Masa Fuchi squash from World Wide.

Bob & Brad Armstrong come out for a promo and Bob with his nose job declares revenge on DiBiase.

Nikolai Volkoff vs. Dale Veasy (2/25/84)

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Roger Bond & Terry Ellis (2/25/84)

Nikolai Volkoff vs. Larry Santana (2/25/84)
