Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Steve Keirn (WWF Junior Title) (11/6/80)

- I love watching Fujinami work holds in and out of the head scissors because I think he does more withthe hold than any other wrestler I have seen. Seriously, Fujinami is becoming a Top 10 guy of all-time for me at this point. I love how these guys move from hold to hold. I ussually like when a body part is the focus of an entire match or is the main theme but these guys work different holds in an attempt to exploit the other's wekanesses. I think I like the other two matches better but this is still worth a look. Also, Keirn hits a NASTY enziguiri. THat is what Inoki's should have looked like against Backlund.

I am going to second this nomination, shorter then their 2/3 falls matches, which I thought helped as the lesser of the 2/3 falls dragged a bit. The matwork here was awesome I loved the Keirn kneedrops during the Muga headscissors spot. This wasn't as good as the great match between the two, but I definitely thought it was the second best and am all for moving it forward

I would also put this second among their three nominated matches. As Will said, they did a beautiful job of moving from hold to hold. The finishing run was pretty damn good too, with Fujinami destroying Keirn's leg, Keirn responding with that nasty enzuigiri and Fujinami winning clean with one of his signature moves. Yet another yes vote for the 1980 junior stuff. This period will be a real joy for those who dig mat wrestling.
