Posted June 28, 200817 yr comment_5432508 This starts with clips of Condrey & Rose regaining the Southeastern Tag Titles from the Armstrongs on 6/1/81 in B-Ham with help from Ron Bass. Condrey & Rose then do a sitdown with Charlie Platt regarding their matchups with Ken Lucas & Mr. Olympia. (6/6/81) Bullet Bob Armstrong vs. Jimmy Golden (6/6/81) Golden is great here chickenshitting around and sells everything like death. Bullet is firing on all cylinders here until Ron Bass runs in for the DQ leading to Brad Armstrong & Ray Candy coming in to help out. Bob then stomps on Bass’ hand that he uses for his heart punch with a chain wrapped around it. Fun match but really short. Next is a personality profile with all of the champions of the area currently held by all heels. Saito = SE title, Golden = Alabama title, Lane = US Jr. title, Condrey/Rose = SE tag titles. Ray Candy vs. The Avenger (6/6/81) Squash. Then we get clips of Candy/Ron Bass from 6/1/81 in B-Ham. Next are clips of Robert Fuller getting injured in B-Ham on 6/1/81 and this was awesome as Saito had him in the sleeper for a long time then when Robert was free, he couldn’t wake up and the faces were doing all they could to wake him. Tremendous selling of the sleeper hold as a deadly move. Ron Fuller cuts a great promo regarding this situation and this is extra material. Ken Lucas & Mr. Olympia vs. Dennis Condrey & Randy Rose (6/6/81) The heels would get the quick advantage working over Olympia’s left arm and using illegal double teams to keep the pressure on. Olympia would finally fight back and would slide his way to tag Lucas who comes in cleaning house setting off a 4-way brawl. Lucas would put the sleeper on Condrey and Olympia would put his own on Rose but there would be a ref bump after Rose fought his way out of the hold. Lucas sends Rose to the floor as he works on Condrey so Rose comes back with a board but Olympia steals it and hits him with it. Olympia then holds off Condrey & Stan Lane on the floor as Rose lays in the ring. I guess this was a DQ finish but there was no final ruling although this was fun stuff. Jimmy Golden comes out offering $10,000 to anyone who can put Ron Fuller out of wrestling after he won the Southeastern title from Mr. Saito (6/13/81) Mr. Saito vs. Lon Maxwell (6/13/81) Squash. Then we get clips of Ron Fuller beating Saito for the Southeastern title in B-Ham on 6/8/81. The best part of these shows is this one guy in the crowd who yells loudly rooting on the faces and just goes crazy when his guys are taking it to the heels. Next we get clips of Bill Dundee winning the US Jr. Heavyweight Title from Stan Lane at Mid-South Coliseum on 6/2/81 with Lane narrating then we get a taped promo with Dundee & Lance. Then there is a personality profile with Bass, Golden, & Saito which is great. Ray Candy vs. The Raider (6/13/81) Squash. Bullet Bob comes out wearing a gigantic cowboy hat to narrate clips of his match against Bass in B-Ham on 6/8/81. Brad Armstrong, Ken Lucas, & Mr. Olympia vs. Outlaw Ron Bass, Jimmy Golden, & Stan Lane (6/13/81) The studio crowd is hot for this one and they have reason to be because this is a very fun match with all 6 men looking good while in the ring. Brad of course is the FIP here and he really takes a pounding here especially from Golden as they work over his left leg. Lots of quick tags and illegal help from the heels as they work over Brad’s leg but Brad would soon roll around enough to tag Olympia setting off a 6-way brawl. Everyone is brawling with Bass chucking Brad over the top rope but referee Larry Brock didn’t see it but a DQ would come soon enough as Condrey & Rose come out then Bullet Bob who gets held up by the heels as Bass hits him with the Heart Punch. Bob then foams from the mouth to sell the injury and this is awesome stuff. I think the match has enough for a nomination even with the finish but if it doesn’t go through this is a definite extra. Randy Rose vs. Ray Harris (6/20/81) Squash. Next we get highlights of the NWA Rookie of the Year trophy presentation to Brad Armstrong with Condrey & Rose coming out to break the trophy with some good promos around it. Extra material. Brad Armstrong vs. The Raider (6/20/81) Squash. Then there is a personality profile regarding the big cards in the area for that week. Roy Lee Welch vs. Outlaw Ron Bass (6/20/81) Welch makes this competitive and when Bass goes for the Heart Punch, the referee stops him, which frustrates Bass so he chunks Welch over the top rope for the DQ. Then we get clips of Lucas/Olympia vs. Condrey who worked alone because of Rose’s injury from B-Ham on 6/15/81. Rose would get involved though. Next are clips of Candy/Fuller vs. Golden/Saito from B-Ham on 6/15/81.
