Posted July 3, 200817 yr comment_5432624 Expiration of time match, really fun stuff with lots of nifty Dundee face in peril spots, the Bodies are cool heel tag team. First fall ends in about 10 minutes with a fake Masked Superstar run in (looked like Jerry Stubbs, and man do I wish we had some Stubbs v. Dundee matches) Second fall had some really stiff shots to Lawlers face. Second fall also ends in a Masked Superstar run in. I enjoyed this a bunch and am going to throw it up. July 7, 200817 yr comment_5432722 2 out of 3 falls: “Superstar” Bill Dundee & Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Tom Prichard & Pat Rose (10/12/85) This was lots of fun as it’s a different matchup and it’s always fun seeing the Memphis regulars against fresh opponents. Both teams worked well together here and both getting lots of offense and I agree with Phil in that the Bodies were a fun little team. Lots of great punches thrown by both teams and Dundee/Lawler both played FIP in separate falls. Jerry Stubbs as Masked Superstar interfered after both falls but it really didn’t hurt the match for me. This goes forward.
July 29, 200817 yr comment_5433344 Bill Dundee/Jerry Lawler v. Tom Pritchard/Pat Rose, 10/25/85 (Memphis Arena TV /Jerry Lawler Show 10/25/85) - I gotta go with the group here. Good stuff from Pritchard and Rose. First fall, I think Russell was great calling out Pritchard’s effectiveness in the half-crab but you gotta give the heels points in keeping with the back. Dundee recovered nicely when Rose flubbed the sleeper spot. You can tell that rose and Pritchard were trying to make it work as a tag team but were still not working in complete harmony. 2nd fall, with Lawler and Dundee on offense, we get the sweet punches and some cool spots.
