Apocalypse (Mike Boyette) & Jesse Barr vs. King Cobra & “Dirty” Dutch Mantell (1/2/83) This was okay with Cobra using some great headbutts and Dutch looking good but that’s about it. Then we get clips of Jacques Rougeau regaining the Mid-America title from Sabu. (1/2/83) Southern Heavyweight Title: Terry Taylor © vs. Sweet Brown Sugar (1/2/83) This starts with some really good back and forth wrestling but Sugar would hit a sweet backdrop suplex that would turn the tide in his favor. Sugar really goes on the offensive using a camel clutch and a sweet looking Cobra Clutch. Taylor would make a comeback and although they botched the finish it worked out as Taylor would get an inside cradle to retain the title. This was a really good match and I’m throwing it on the block. Handicap Match: “Superstar” Bill Dundee & Jerry Calhoun vs. Exotic Adrian Street, Jim Cornette, & Miss Linda (1/2/83) Dundee & Street were great here and everything else was okay. Handicap Canadian Lumberjack Match: “Superstar” Bill Dundee vs. Exotic Adrian Street, Jim Cornette, & Miss Linda (2/6/83) Dundee gets the chance to get everyone he hates at one time in the ring and with his friends as lumberjacks with straps and Calhoun as the referee. This has everything in it with comedy, hatred, lumberjacks strapping the heels like hell, blood from Cornett and great action. Definite nomination. Jerry “The King” Lawler & Koko Ware vs. Bobby Eaton & Sabu (2/6/83) The crowd is apeshit for Koko here as they want to see him get his revenge on his former friends and he is a house of fire swinging chairs chasing Eaton around the ring and just pounding the fuck out of him. The worst part is that the DVD cuts off in mid-match. This was heading for a surefire nom.
