Posted July 12, 200817 yr comment_5432811 Koko Ware + Bobby Eaton v. Jaques Rougeau + Terry Taylor (VQ on this is the shits) Eaton and Sugar were a blast as a team, Koko is really one of my favorite guys to watch on the set, man the bump he takes on the monkey flip is amazing. Taylor and Rougueau are underwhelming as a face team, but are a fine New Generation. Jaques has a really nice dropkick. Koko Ware + Bobby Eaton v. Terry Taylor + Bill Dundee This gets JIP about a minute and half in, this was fun but really only goes about five minutes, really seems to end kind of abruptly Jimmy Hart tells Sweet Brown Sugar he had better shine his shoes or he is out of the family. We can add it to our race disc Jerry Lawler v. Sabu Crazy brawl with lots of run ins and Koko turning face, you have to love Dundee coming out of the showers with shampoo on his hair Fabs squash Sabu/Eaton v. Lawler/Koko We get about 7 minutes of a 13 minute insane brawl, Eaton is killing Lawler with ring standard shots and chair shots, Jimmy Hart comes out and paints Lawler black Jesse Barr challenges Dutch Mantel to a scientific match Dutch Mantell v. Jesse Barr This had Mantell getting the best of Barr on the mat until Jesse spits in Dutch’s face and Dutch loses it and gets DQ’ed fun angle Jaques Rougeau promo Highlights of Rougeau v. Taylor which looked fun Dutch Mantel v. Jesse Barr 11/15/82 Man this was great, way more violent then their other arena match, Dutch comes out firing and Barr gives it right back to him. I have never seen Dutch drop the strap before and I was marking out for it. Fun cluster powder finish too. Taylor/Roguea v. Sheepherders This is the coal miners glove match I already commented on Fabs v. Eaton/Dream Machine This was fun, Dream and Eaton are both great, and were really fun stooging for the Fabs, still it felt like it ended abruptly and I think it doesn’t make the cut Sugar/Hart v. Barr/Cornette Previously reviewed Jerry Lawler v. Koko Ware + Jimmy Hart 11/22/82 This was a ton of fun, lots of really great Punch exchanges between Koko and Lawler, lots of cowering and hit and run shots by Hart, when Lawler finally gets his hands on Hart Jimmy bumps all around the ring Broomfield+ Dutch + Barr + Koko + Eaton + Rougeua Elimination match Already reviewed Sheepherders v. Jerry Lawler + Bill Dundee JIP, fun stuff but pretty short only goes about 5 minutes, I am sure there is a great match between these teams but this isn’t it Fabs v. Jesse Barr/Crusher Broomfield Fun little seven minute match, Fabs by the numbers, Broomfield bumps around really well, but thisn’t anything notable Jackie Fargo v. Jimmy Hart 11/8/82 I am going to go ahead and nominate this, not a traditional wrestling match, but man was this fun. A real chance to see Fargo do all of his shtick. Fabs and Koko/Eaton were at ringside to work spots with each other, while Fargo goofs on Jimmy Hart Jerry Lawler v. Nick Bockwinkle 11/8/82 Bock takes over early with some big shots, Lawler’s comeback was great including smothering Bockwinkle with a towel. Lawler’s comeback was brief as Bockwinkle mauls his busting him open and hurling him over the top. Strap drop as usual. Just a slight step below a true Lawler classic, but I could see this sneaking into my top 15 or so. Of course a slam dunk pick Fabs v. Sabu/Carl Fergie Back to studio footage here, 20 second match that seems to lead to Fergie leaving the family Bobby Heenan promo Mustached heel Jaques Terry Taylor v. Jaques Rougeau Fun match with Jaques busting open Taylor with a chain, Dutch distracts him and Taylor rolls him up, fun match Fabs v. Sabu + Kenya Condori I have no idea who Condori is, black dude with braids wearing a Gi who couldn’t apply a bodyslam Short match
