Posted July 13, 200817 yr comment_5432891 This starts with a taped promo of Ronnie P. Gossett dressed up as The Joker from Batman and this is phenomenal. Definite extra. (9/2/89) The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Wild Side (Chris Champion & Mark Starr) (9/2/89) This starts out all-action with all 4 men in the ring and the RnR looking great. Starr would start working over Morton but he would use some great punches to get him off of him to get the tag to Gibson. They would work over Starr in the corner before Morton tagged back in and he hits a nice DDT on Starr for a nearfall. RnR would keep making quick tags keeping a fresh man in the ring but Champion would nail Morton with a flagpole causing Gibson to go after him. Morton would hit a bulldog on Starr during this melee and then THE JOKER would come out spraying something in Morton’s eyes for the DQ. RnR come out with Eddie Marlin and Morton cuts a great promo. The match was okay but Gossett as The Joker is a slam dunk extra. Lisa Monroe vs. Sandy So Fine (9/2/89) This wasn’t much of anything until THE JOKER comes out to bullshit around. Next we get a Nightmare Freddy video and this is hilarious. Texas Dirt then comes out for a promo wanting to see Dutch Mantell then talks about Black Bart before he & DWB comes out and they end up making a match. “Dirty White Boy” Tony Anthony & Black Bart vs. Don Harris & Texas Dirt (Dutch Mantell) (9/2/89) Sure enough Don Harris would turn on Dirt when he would get tagged in the ring making it 3-on-1 before the faces would make the save. The Black Birds (Brickhouse Brown & Iceman Parsons) vs. Ken Raper & Freezer Thompson (9/2/89) Squash and Birds would attack Jamie Dundee after the match as he was taking pictures until Bill & Dustin Rhodes made the save. Birds then cut a hilarious promo after the match as Iceman told the fans they smelt like welfare cheese. 2 out of 3 falls: “Superstar” Bill Dundee, Dustin Rhodes, & Dale Mann vs. The Big O, Spike Huber, & TD Steele (9/2/89) Pretty much a squash.
