DVD #1

- JERRY LAWLER AND MICHAEL HAYES exchange interviews for their upcoming match.

- JERRY LAWLER & PHIL HICKERSON v MICHAEL HAYES & TERRY GORDY

- 6-MAN TAG: Jerry Lawler, Phil Hickerson & Mongolian Stomper v Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy & Buddy Roberts- Stomper turns on Lawler, using his boot to beat Lawler's head

- Tarrus Bulba vs. Bryant

- FABS Interv

- Sheepherders interv

- Tom Renesto angle interv. Arguing with Lawler about Stomper match.. Marlin and Jarrett come out

This is a must-have extra, as Renesto is tremendous as the first evil promoter that I know of. I think we have this in better VQ on Barnett Memphis 1A.

- Lawler interv

- Buddy Wayne vs. Billy travis

- Lawler interv. About upcoming Ric Flair title match

- JERRY LAWLER DOES A CAREER RETROSPECTIVE, building up to his NWA title match vs Ric Flair. Lots of great clips from the 1970's and early '80s, and some great history including the famous Andy Kaufman "mummy" angle.

We don't have the match but the Lawler-Flair/Memphis Great American Bash buildup feels like an extra. There's a better version of the retrospective later on from the Lawler Show.

- Tom Renesto interv.

I think wee need as much Renesto as possible for the extras.

- On Lawler show, "MY WAY" Lawler video

This is the better version of the retrospective IIRC.

- Buddy Wayne/Sherri Martel vs. Candy Divine/Jerry Jarrett

Fun, but not a disc level match.

DVD #2

- *MONGOLIAN STOMPER v PHIL HICKERSON- Stomper wins the International title

- Tom Renesto/Stomper interv

More Renesto = extra candidate for me.

- JERRY LAWLER AND BILL DUNDEE do an head to head interview, building for their upcoming match. Some great historical clips shown, examining their relationship. Bill said he wouldn't be Jerry's partner

Definite extra, maybe on the main disc before the Dundee turn.

- ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS v IVAN KOLOFF & KRUSHER KRUSHEV- this match was from the Mid-South Coliseum, as part of the 1985 Great American Bash tour

Great match and an easy nomination. Doesn't have the epic feeling of the long R&R title win but the crowd is hot and I may like this match better. Restart finish was fun though I almost would've preferred to see the heels get Dusty Finished.

- *JERRY LAWLER v BILL DUNDEE- Babyface match- Mongolian Stomper and his manager Tom Renesto attack Lawler and "ruin" the match- None of the match is shown, just the angle

- Lawler & Dundee interv

More buildup for Dundee turn.

- Jonathan Boyd vs. Steve Keirn(tied up match)

- FABS interv.

- LAWLER & BILL DUNDEE v TOM PRICHARD & PAT ROSE

Have this elsewhere in better VQ, will watch that.

- HARLEY RACE v KOKO WARE

- JERRY LAWLER & BILL DUNDEE v MONGOLIAN STOMPER & TARRAS BULBA

I somehow have no memory of watching this.

- BILL DUNDEE comes to the studio all hyped up, saying he and Lawler can beat any team in the world, and mention the Fabulous Ones. The Fabs point out that they haven't even wrestled, and Dundee comes out wanting a match. Lawler tries to calm Dundee down, to no avail. After an argument, Lawler tells Dundee that their tag-team is over, and Dundee takes a swing at him.

- JERRY LAWLER v BILL DUNDEE- an impromptu match that takes place right after the angle described above. Lawler puts up his Southern title vs Dundee's hair. Dundee KOs Lawler with a foreign object, and not only wins the title, but an upcoming title shot vs NWA champ Ric Flair, as Flair will only defend against the Southern champ. Jerry threatens to bust up Dundee's car if he won't sign a rematch with him

- STEVE/SCOTT ARMSTRONG v TOM PRICHARD/PAT ROSE

Better VQ on all this elsewhere.

- ***THE GREATEST SKIT IN WRESTLING HISTORY***- Lance Russell goes to Jerry Lawler's house, and finds him DRUNK, passed out on his lawn. Lawler is all depressed over not getting his long awaited title shot, as Dundee refuses to wrestle him again. He has cracked under the pressure, and says he "quits wrestling". Next on the show is Tojo Yamamoto, and his new partner, The Hawaiian Flash- Jerry Jarrett hiding his head after losing a hair match. The Flash then gets Dundee to defend the Southern title against him. A few minutes later, Jarrett appears on TV, with hair, and the Flash suddenly looks exactly like Jerry Lawler! (DVD split in middle of angle)

Must have extra, better VQ and not split on Barnett 1A. The best part is Lance's initial reaction to drunk Lawler being that he'll "catch a death of a cold."

DVD #3 cont.

- FABS & FARGO Interv.

- BILL DUNDEE & (a fake) MASKED SUPERSTAR v SCOTT & STEVE ARMSTRONG

Either really short or clipped unfortunately.

- Lawler with Lance shows the making of the drunk interview from his house

Must-have extra from the Lawler Show to compliment the actual drunk/Hawaiian Flash angle. This we don't have elsewhere.

- BILL DUNDEE appears on TV with the Southern title encased in a glass display, further demonstrating his refusal to defend it until he gets his shot vs Ric Flair

Definite extra, possibly on the main disc as Flair-Ware buildup.

- JERRY JARRETT & TOJO YAMAMOTO v THE SHEEPHERDERS- Bill Dundee gets some revenge by running in and cutting Jarrett's hair.

- Lawler interv.

- TOM PRICHARD & PAT ROSE v TRACY SMOTHERS & BILLY TRAVIS- Sherri Martel acts as the valet for Prichard and Rose, and is romantically involved with Rose

- Dundee interv.

- Dundee interv.

- BILL DUNDEE v KOKO WARE- two days before his match vs Ric Flair, Dundee puts up that match vs Koko's Mid-American title. Bad move, as Eddie Marlin appoints himself referee, Jerry Jarrett interferes, and Koko gets the title match

All must-have extras for the main disc to build up Flair-Ware. The crowd goes insane for the finish, maybe the biggest pop I've ever seen from the studio crowd. There's also the end of Koko winning the Mid-American belt from Branch earlier in the same show somewhere on here. At least this match is better VQ on a Memphis DVD I have from Tim Noel that I'll look at later.

- NO DQ HAIR MATCH: JERRY LAWLER v TOM BRANCH- you'll never guess who gets shaved

I'm gonna go ahead and nominate this. Amusing premise as the story is that Branch is completely out of Lawler's league and has to be passed increasingly ridiculous foreign objects from Renesto to get any offense. Memphisy enough for further evaluation..

- Lawler apology about pretending to drink

Extra to go with the rest.

- THE FREEDOM FIGHTERS, a couple of green, talentless muscleheads, debut in Memphis as babyfaces. They grew up to become Sting and Ultimate Warrior, future WWF and WCW champs

VQ is really contrasty here but this is a must-have "before they were stars" extra. Amusing interview before their squash where Lance carries them and establishes their status as a blowjob team.

- Dundee/Mantell interv.

Funny stuff as they talk about the Freedom Fighters. Then we get clips of...

- RIC FLAIR v KOKO WARE- Dusty Rhodes is at ringside to hog the spotlight...I mean, to second Koko for the big match. Dundee throws powder in Dusty's eyes, Koko is distracted, and Flair schoolboys him for the pin. Koko goes nuts and attacks Dundee at the TV studio

Better VQ & complete elsewhere. Is the Dundee attack after the match shown at all on the other version? There's a little here. Anyway, Koko attacks Dundee as the finish is shown, triggering a giant pullapart brawl and this needs to be mixed in w/ Flair-Ware on the main disc somehow. Then, after the break...

- Koko Ware interv.

Need this too.

- Dundee interv.

And this. Gets cut off though.
