Andre the Giant & Dino Bravo vs. Masked Superstar & Dick Murdoch

Short match, it was fun to watch Murdoch and Superstar bump and stooge for Andre, but this wasn’t long enough to mean much

January 6, 1983, Tokyo - Korakuen Hall

Jesse Ventura vs. Kengo Kimura

Lots of Jesse strength spots, he can’t bump at all, so he did almost everything without leaving his feet. Fuck does Ventura stink

Seiji Sakaguchi & Killer Khan vs. Riki Choshu & Masa Saito

This was pretty fun as Choshu and Saito really work over Sakaguchi and then you have Khan turn on him and join Choshu’s army, crazy pull apart after the match too with Inoki and Choshu brawling. Crowd goes batshit. Match itself was good, and the crazy angle puts it over the top.

Tiger Mask vs. Kuniaki Kobayashi (NWA Junior Title)

I remember liking this series when I first watched it (I think this match may be on Schneider comp #1), but figured this wouldn’t age well. Well I was wrong, you get the sense Kobayashi might be Tiger Masks best NJ opponent, as he seems to be good at slowing the pace down instead of trying to work as fast as Sayama, so when the match gets big, it feels big. Good build, super hot end run and great finish. Here is a Tiger mask match I can whole heartedly endorse.
