Posted August 13, 200817 yr comment_5433990 I absolutely hated this match up on the Other Japan set, and this match had some of the same problems those had, with no selling and your turn my turn stuff. The stuff here connected more then their lesser UWF match ups, and the finish was dramatic and the crowd was very into it. This isn’t my thing, but I am not going to fight it being on the discs. So consider this the most lukewarm nomination ever. Best of NJPW v. UWF 2, Disc 1

November 2, 200816 yr comment_5435503 I like the match-up well enough but also had a lukewarm reaction to this version. They wrestled too loosely during the opening mat section and the first third of the match felt like a waste of time. It picked up once they got kickier, and their submission attempts in the last section looked much tighter. I'll second the halfhearted nomination, but if Will is underwhelmed, maybe we should just punt it. It's not like either guy will be underrepresented on the set. June 10, 200916 yr comment_5440507 Nobuhiko Takada vs. Kazue Yamazaki - (IWGP Junior Title) - What a letdown after the killer Takada-Koshinaka match. I agree completely with thwe waste of time comments on the first 1/3rd or so. It picked up and there were some nice kick sequences but on a set full of awesome kick sequences, this won’t stand out.
