1. Freebirds vs Kerry, Kevin, + David Von Erich

A huge entrance for the Birds. I loved Kevin's promo at the beginning. The Freebirds were awesome as big bumping heels. The Birds just stooged their ass off. Eventually the Freebirds put David in the FIP role and he did a good job of getting heat on him. He gets the hot tag to Kevin who eventually get cut off and sells a bit till he makes the tag to Kerry. That triple drop kick from the Von Erich's was neat. A little later Roberts takes a big bump from a drop kick. Eventually the match breaks down and we get a super heated brawl that leads to a great finish. This is a slam dunk nom.

int: Gino Hernandez

2. Kerry Von Erich vs Gino Hernandez

Gino is just a slimeball heel. This match was fun, but falls short as a nomination for me. It should be on a best of Gino or Kerry set though. Both men worked hard, but the heat that was generated was more for Stella Mae and Nikola Roberts. Kerry holding back Stella Mae was a fun visual.

3. Michael Hayes vs Bruiser Brody

This did nothing for me. The wrestlers had a potentially cool angle that didn't develope.

- recap Missy Hyatt/Sunshine feud

4. Kerry Von Erich vs Steve Regal

A mediocre match.

5. Bruiser Brody + Missing Link vs Terry Gordy + Kabuki

Quiet Riot rules. This was almost all nerve holds and headbutts. Gordy and Brody were gone within a minute. I hated this.

6. Lance Von Erich + Bruiser Brody vs Rick Rude + One Man Gang

Nothing too bad, but doesn't feel like a nom. I thought OMG and Brody had some cool exchanges. Seeing Brody work FIP is different.

- Pro Wrestling This Week match Matt Borne + Percy Pringle vs Tony Atlas +

A nothing match. Seeing Pringle wear a Buckwheat shirt was some great race baiting shit. As a kid I loved the moniker as Black Superman for Atlas. Now I see it for what it is.

- Pro Wrestling This Week match Red River Jack vs The Grappler

A squash with Red River Jack being stiff in his work.

- Pro Wrestling This Week interview Gary Hart

Hearing Hart tell Mercer he is ashamed of him was funny.

7. Red River Jack vs Jeep Swenson - 2 minute challenge

Nothing but an angle

8. Red River Jack vs Killer Brooks

This was fun; but not close to a nomination. This leads to a Nord The Barbarian/RRJ confrontation.

9. Eric Embry vs Rick Dubois

A showcase match for Embry.

int: Gary Hart. Hart introduces Jim Holliday

- highlights Gary Hart + Nord the Barbarian vs Dingo Warrior + David Manning

I always thought their was money in a heel Manning screwing over the Von Erichs. For a ref he was super over.

World Class Six-Man Tag Titles: David, Kerry, & Kevin Von Erich © vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy, Michael Hayes, & Buddy Roberts) (7/29/83)

What a fucking great entrance for the Birds with confederate soldiers waving the stars and bars as Willie Nelson’s version of Georgia On My Mind blares over the speakers as the fans boo very loudly then the Von Erichs come out to a raucus ovation as usual. Kevin’s promo before the match explaining the feud was too great. Birds bump their ass off to start the match especially Buddy and the Von Erichs look great on offense with tremendous crowd heat. David gets eventually caught by the Birds and takes a real pounding especially from Gordy who was throwing bombs before making a comeback tagging in Kevin who gets some offense in before he gets caught by the Birds. The action would soon break down into a brawl with a very hot finish as Roberts came in with a loaded headbutt to KO Kerry so Hayes could pin him. This was a fantastic match and a definite nomination.

Next we get a promo with Gino & Nicola Roberts riding in the parking lot and this is a definite extra.

“Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. “Handsome Halfbreed” Gino Hernandez (9/7/84)

Gino again is awesome here garnering heel heat as the fans hate his guts. Kerry would get Gino in a backslide early on for a nearfall that would send Gino to the floor to regroup but when he got back into the ring Kerry grounded him and started working on his left arm before Gino dropped to the floor again. Gino would soon take advantage of Kerry missing a running shoulderblock into the corner and worked Kerry over really good. Kerry would fire some punches though to make a comeback by tieing Gino up in the ropes but Gino would break free and tossed Kerry to the floor. Kerry would get a sunset flip off the apron though as he came in for a nearfall before going for the iron claw. Gino would counter out of it twice and Kerry started throwing bombs on Gino who was selling this like a fucking champ. Kerry would put Gino in a bearhug as Stella Mae showed up to confront Nicola and as this happens Gino would break free throwing Kerry to the floor then threw him over the top rope for a DQ. Gino would then hold up Stella Mae but Kerry would make the save. I hate this fucking angle and it ruined a good match. Not a nomination.

Bruiser Brody vs. Michael “PS” Hayes (4/4/86)

Hayes would get some shots in here and threw his patented left hook that took Brody down before throwing Brody on the ringside table where he continued to work him over. Hayes would get frustrated though because he gave all he had but Brody kept standing up to him and would eventually pull him to the floor with him pounding his head on the ringside table. Brody would then lock on a bearhug after they returned to the ring but Hayes would fight out and would go back on offense until Brody regained the advantage. Brody would miss his big legdrop though allowing Hayes again to throw punches but Brody would hit him with the big boot until Gordy would show up attacking Brody for the DQ. The Birds would then handcuff him to the second rope where they would pound him until Lance made the save. This was a hard hitting match with Hayes hanging with Brody surprisingly and I’m throwing this on the block.

“Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. “Mr. Electricity” Steve Regal (4/18/86)

Interesting matchup here that starts with Regal throwing some nice punches so Kerry decides to up the ante by just jacking Regal’s jaw with a discus punch then more punches followed up with another discus punch. Regal would get some offense in but it wasn’t long before Kerry locked in the abdominable claw with him picking up Regal above his head and dropping him for the win. Okay for what it was.

Bruiser Brody & The Missing Link vs. Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy & The Great Kabuki (4/18/86)

I gotta give Michael Hayes credit as he comes to the ring wearing attire that he wore 5 years earlier in Georgia. With these four you knew it would be a brawl at the bell and it lived up to the hype as all four men just started beating the crap out of each other. Brody & Gordy maul each other on the floor while Kabuki & Link have their battle in the ring then Brody & Gordy would take it up the ramp. Kabuki puts Link in his nerve hold before he would break free and used his headbutts to punish Kabuki. Link would go after Hayes allowing Kabuki to get ready to go after him but Link would turn around and kept working over Kabuki. Kabuki would gouge Link in the eye though as both men’s paint was wearing off their faces and Marc Lowrance gets on the house mic announcing that Brody & Gordy are brawling on the streets. Kabuki would go back to his nerve hold until Link would fire it up and made a comeback. Hayes would slide the nunchuks to Kabuki who would use them for the DQ. Kabuki would choke Link until Sunshine threw in a chair who would get to it but Kabuki would leave. We really need to put the Brody/Gordy part of this on as an extra.

Bruiser Brody & Lance Von Erich vs. One Man Gang & “Ravishing” Rick Rude (5/16/86)

This had some fun stuff with Brody & Gang but had a clip in the middle where we missed Lance’s FIP section but we would get some Brody FIP with Rude & Gang working good together as a team. Gang would pick up Brody for a slam but Lance would sneak in and dropkicked Brody on top of Gang for the win in a surprise fashion. This was pretty good but I’m not sure on a nomination so it gets a maybe from me.

Then we get some PWTW clips.

Red River Jack (Brody) vs. Killer Brooks (2/6/87)

Funny seeing Brody wearing a Dr. Wagner mask and there was pretty much zero crowd heat here. Gary Hart brings out Nord the Barbarian after the match for a staredown with RRJ.

“Flamboyant” Eric Embry vs. Rick DuBois (2/6/87)

Squash and the flamboyant name fits Embry here as he uses a powder puff box to prepare himself before the match.

Gary Hart then revives H&H International this time with Gentleman Jim Holliday who hasn’t been around since 1983 in Florida.

Then we get clips of David Manning actually wrestling with Dingo Warrior against Nord the Barbarian & Gary Hart.
