Posted August 14, 200817 yr comment_5434043 This had a little less mat wrestling and more brawling, with Fujiwara letting his hands go and throwing some awesome combinations. The crowd is super hot for the Inoki v. Meada sections,. They have a cool spot where it looks like Fujiwara is turning on Inoki as he refuses a tag only to go trip Maeda. Finish was awesome too, with Inoki enzigiring the ringpost. This is better then the match the next day, and is a slam dunk pick. NJ v. UWF 2 disc 2
November 6, 200816 yr comment_5435588 A better match than the final the next day. I liked the very heated ground-and-pound section between Inoki and Maeda, and the enziguiri to the post was a nice way to end it. It should move forward. Appears on NJ TV 12/10/86 and on NJ Classics 253
September 3, 200916 yr comment_5443781 I was kind of disappointed early on that there wasn't a bigger payoff to the Maeda-Inoki staredown but I thought it was cool how Inoki wouldn't engage with Maeda since his head would get kicked off but had no problem locking up with Kido. I really liked the Fujiwara parts with Kido and Maeda but man, when Inoki and Maeda were either refusing to lock up or working on the ground, you could hear a pin drop. Phil must have only been listening to the last three minutes where the crowd was really hot and the work was at its best. The rest of the Inoki-Maeda stuff was stone cold silence. I just didn't see anything extraordinary in this match at all. I liked the 12/8 match much better.
