Posted August 16, 200817 yr comment_5434080 This was going on at a nice pace, until it kicked into gear in the last bit, some crazy shit in the last ten minutes, including Meada capture suplexing Strong Machine to the floor. Almost felt like an 80’s version of an ROH tag Kobayashi was really good in this too, I loved how he took the kicks in the corner from Maeda. NJ v. UWF 2 Vol 2
November 16, 200816 yr comment_5435759 Good to have Kobayashi back. It's easy to forget how good he was. This was an action-packed title defense with a bunch of good nearfalls and a hot closing sequence between Kobayashi and Takada, who would meet for the jr. title a few weeks later. The Maeda/Machine interactions stood out as well. Easy nomination.
September 4, 200916 yr comment_5443806 Good start from Takada and Kobayashi. Fuck, Maeda flips Machine over and even though it was botched, it looked fucking ugly. Damn, all four guys are just going non-stop here. Both teams are hitting some nice strikes and some really nice, tight suplexes. And just like Childs called, around the ten minute mark, we start hitting a long, stretch run. Absolutely love Takada trying to nail the Dragon suplex, Kobayashi grabbing the ropes to stop, so Maeda kicks him in the head to make him release. Add the hot, clean ending and I am in agreement. This goes on.
