Posted August 25, 200817 yr comment_5434190 I had no expectations of this going in but ended up really enjoying it. It didn't have a great story or anything. It simpy featured solid work from all four guys. Teranishi and Tiger Mask had good chemistry as Teranishi looked like a powerhouse against other juniors and let TM beat the shit out of him in retaliation. Hoshino could be counted on as a proto-Kikuchi. And Roberts was a very sound worker, tight on the mat, good-looking Euro uppercuts. I don't necessarily expect this to get on the set, because there's nothing remarkable, but I'll put it forward for discussion.
June 28, 200916 yr comment_5441280 Tiger Mask & Kantaro Hoshino vs Pete Roberts & Isamu Teranishi, NJ TV 7/1/83 - On a set of remarkable matches, something should stand out. I would compare something like this to the DK/Keirn tag adn that one smokes this. Even the Japan vs. Mexicos trios I watched earlier was full of cool shit. No vote here.
August 30, 200916 yr comment_5443567 I really dug Teranishi in this, worked super stiff and looked like a badass, took a giant bump at the finish too. This wasn't enough of a Roberts showcase for me, some more slick matwork really would have put this over. I did enjoy it enough to give it a thumbs up, but I wouldn't go to the mat for it.
