Posted August 30, 200817 yr comment_5434309 I have no idea who Billy Crusher is, he doesn’t look Pakistani, and was damn good. Clubber forearms, nice suplexes, an awesome looking half takle half body press. Inoki is pretty awesome here, as all of his escapes from moves are great. Cool shit which should make either a South Asian or New Japan set. NJ TV August 10th & 17th 1984 (1984 set disc 19)
August 30, 200817 yr Author comment_5434316 Yeah I figured that out after I posted, too bad. I was hoping he was the son of some colonial land owner who lived the life of luxury as the top gaijin heel in a local Pakistani fed
September 23, 200817 yr comment_5434807 I enjoyed this way more than expected. I like resourceful Inoki much more than superman Inoki, and he tossed in all sorts of clever escapes and counters in this one. Crusher was good too, kind of like a bigger but less athletic Finlay or Murdoch in that everything he did looked like it hurt. Inoki treated him with respect, too, which helped. Solid nomination.
August 8, 200916 yr comment_5442632 The counters and escapes really help this one stand out from the pack but I don't want to short-change Eadie. He turns a boring full nelson into a battering ram. That would be my favorite hold if everyone rammed thier opponents's heads into the turnbuckle. I was particularly impressed with the Canadian Backbreaker flip into a pin. This will be on the set.
