Posted September 1, 200817 yr comment_5434340 Could Murdoch and Bad News find anything that would hurt Fujiwara's head? That was the central plot of this highly entertaining match. About 1/3 of the way in, Allen tried to head butt Fujiwara and got this great look of befuddlement when Fujiwara just grinned at him. He tried it again. Same thing. So he tossed him outside and rammed him into the post. Again, no damage. Both guys did great facial storytelling as they worked through this half-comedic, half-violent segment. The whole thing was a real kick. Fujiwara also unloaded on Bad News with body punches in the corner in another cool segment. Murdoch looked good as well, though his Fujiwara interactions were less fun. By the way, Murdoch did a crappy-looking brainbuster. He sort of sat down and let his opponent's body drape across the mat. Weird failing for a great wrestler. Anyhow, it was a tragedy whenever Kimura tagged into the match because he didn't belong in this company. But this match was a really fun change of pace that I'll nominate, even though it might not advance.
August 31, 200916 yr comment_5443593 This was Fujiwara's first appearance in the 80's, and he looks great. I also love the Fujiwara v. Bad News hard head interactions. Still I think we have Fujiwara doing his hard head comedy spots in other matches on this set, and there wasn't much else going on here. So I am going to go no.
