5. JERRY LAWLER vs BILL DUNDEE in a Cage Match from Memphis, 2/85. Good brawl, 3 1/2 ***

6. TIGER MASK (Sayama) vs EL HALCON from Mexico, 1983. Excellent, 4 ***.

7. HULK HOGAN vs AKIRA MAEDA from Japan, 1984. Oh, the irony, but Maeda keeps a cool head and wrestles a pro match.

8. TIGER MASK (Sayama) vs EL POLACO from Mexico, 1983. 3 ***.

9. TIGER MASK (Sayama) vs VILLANO III- same as #D182. 3 1/2 ***.

10. TIGER MASK (Sayama) vs EDDIE GILBERT from Philly, Nov 1982- there's no way you can watch the crowd reaction here and think a "high-spot" style wouldn't work in the northeast.

11. AKIRA MAEDA vs RENE GOULET from Philly, 1984- Maeda was forced to do jobs for joke wrestlers like Goulet and George Steele during his WWF tour.

12. JUSHIN LIGER vs BLACK TIGER from Japan, 1989. 3 3/4 ***.

This tape feature some rare matches of the three greatest high-spot wrestlers I've ever seen (Liger, Sayama, Owen Hart). A GREAT TAPE!! 4 HOURS.

I presume that he got this all from Kurt, who said he's sending me more stuff.

 

We already had Bruises vs Gilberts, I don't remember it being anything special. Pain/Payne vs Brick was on the first Kurt batch and was pretty average. So Lawler-Hennig x2 is what we need.

 

I started watching the Buddy Wayne/Sonny King vs Ricky Morton/Big Red studio Texas Death Match on one of the Highspots discs, so far it looks like it's not much.

Got the Hennig matches from Kurt today.

 

Anyone mind if I send him a free Memphis set? I figure that sending me DVDs (especially stuff we needed for the set) while he has cancer is worth a set.

I assume that stretcher match with Lawler and Hennig is complete? If so, sweet. I've only ever seen the clipped ending.

 

that other rematch with the no dq is from MSC? They had a rematch in Vegas in the same time frame. If MSC it's another must-see for me.
