Posted September 6, 200817 yr comment_5434401 New Japan Pro Wrestling TV (November 25th & December 2nd 1983) - All matches also appear on Classics 154 and 155 1. Animal Hamaguchi & Riki Choshu vs Seiji Sakaguchi & Kengo Kimura - I was on the fence with this one as I'm not a fan of either Sakaguchi or Kimura. But the nifty ending pulled it out for me. 2. Swede Hanson & Andre the Giant vs Akira Maeda & Tatsumi Fujinami - This wasn't any good. Hanson and Andre couldn't sell or bump well enough to make Maeda and Fujinami look good, and their big-man offense looked like shit. 3. Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch vs Hulk Hogan & Antonio Inoki - Decent demonstration of Adonis and Murdoch's ability to make any match entertaining with their varied offense. But Inoki and Hogan didn't bring much to the table. TV didn't actually show the countout ending though it showed Inoki and Hogan looking pissed after (I know Classics has the whole thing.) 4. Akira Maeda & Tatsumi Fujinami vs Animal Hamaguchi & Riki Choshu - Can't add much to what Will said. Excellent 30-minute draw in which every guy got worked over at some point. I loved that Choshu called for Fujinami right away and naileed him with the big suplex on the floor. Maeda in peril was good as always. The ending was hot with all the big suplexes and the scorpion exchanges. It probably won't challenge for the very top of my ballot but could well finish in the top 1/3. 5. Antonio Inoki vs Andre the Giant - I'm glad I had never seen Inoki slam Andre when I watched Wrestlemania III as a kid. That aside, Andre sucked in this match. He just couldn't move at all.
