Posted September 8, 200817 yr comment_5434450 New Japan Pro Wrestling TV (December 23rd & 30th 1983) 1. Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch vs Swede Hanson & Andre the Giant (6/12) - Murdoch engaged Andre in a fun test of strength, and it was fun to watch Adonis take it to the big man. Not much of a match though. 2. Akira Maeda & Tatsumi Fujinami vs Killer Khan & Tiger Toguchi (6/12) - The crowd was nuts for Maeda and Fujinami created some nice segments with Khan. But nothing really set this longish match apart from the pack. 3. Hulk Hogan & Antonio Inoki vs Yoshiaki Yatsu & Riki Choshu (6/12) - I liked the ending. Inoki whipped Yatsu into a Hogan lariat, but Choshu quickly followed with his own lariat on Hogan. That left him vulnerable to an Inoki enziguiri. So Inoki was last man standing and hit Yatsu with a suplex for the win. It was much more exciting than Inoki just deciding, "OK, it's time to win." Hogan looked good in this match, taking a hot tag from Inoki and laying waste to the Ishingun duo with some stiff elbows. But this was JIP and I'm not sure it had quite enough build or drama to make it a nomination. I won't be bothered if someone else picks it. And so ends 1983 for purposes of this set. 4. Cobra & Tatsumi Fujinami vs Davey Boy Smith & Bret Hart (Canada, 19/12) 5. Nobuhiko Takada vs Hiro Saito (Canada, 19/12) 6. Antonio Inoki vs Kerry Brown (Canada, 19/12)
