Posted September 11, 200817 yr comment_5434501 Sid Viscious & The Avalanche (PN News) & Ron Starr vs. Seiji Sekaguchi & Kengo Kimura & Tasushi Gotoh (03/16/89) Sid is wearing amazing turquoise tiger striped pants and is blowing every third spot he tries. PN News has a nice stiff clothesline, finish has everyone blowing everything. Total mess in an amusing way. Big Van Vader vs. Salman Hashimikov (IWGP title, 05/25/89) Pretty fun power match, both guys are green and there are some things that look a little awkward but there are also some big, cool looking throws by both guys. Historically important with Hashimikov winning, adds up to at least something I want everyone else to consider. Kengo Kimura vs. Shota Chochyshvili (06/16/89) Chochyshvili had some really neat looking amateur throws, but had some trouble bumping and selling, there were points where he looked pretty out of place. Fun stuff but not a nomination Jushin Liger vs. Beef Wellington (06/16/89) Short and kind of disappointing, not on the same page for lots of this. Some cool stuff by Liger but, this wouldn’t be the best match on good episode of WCW Thunder Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Kokina Maximus (06/16/89) This was pretty mediocre, Kokina at this point isn’t as agile as he was early in his career and hasn’t adjusted to his bulk as well as he did later in his career. Not nearly as good as Fujinami v. Sid Big Van Vader & Brad Rhenigans vs. Riki Choshu & Masa Saito (06/16/89) This was really fun with lots of great looking Riki lariats and the Choshu v. Vader sections ruled, but it was less then five minutes long so no dice
