Posted September 15, 200817 yr comment_5434594 They played with the trios formula well here. When Choshu and Inoki squared off mid-match, Fujinami took a page from the Ishingun book and nailed Riki with an elbow from the top. That set up a long control segment in which the Seikigun unit busted Choshu open badly. Just when I thought they had the match won, however, Kimura strayed too far toward the Ishingun corner, and momentum swung again. Unfortunately the episode ended moments later with Choshu setting up Kimura for the scorpion. They showed a bit more of the ending during the credits, but it was still inconclusive. I want to nominate this, but I suspect the nonsense with the end will knock it off the set. Still worth discussing.
August 31, 200916 yr comment_5443596 Really conflicted here. Too many Ishingun matches in a row and they kind of start blending together. When they do a double team ,you can almost always count on an axe handle or elbow from the top either with a victim in an arm wringer or in Samoan Drop position. When they have a Trio, you get the big clubbing. I enjoy formula but the story of the match wasn't much differnet from others in the series. Then the non-ending bothered me alot too. I think I liked the ROH sprint from earlier better. Lets see what Phil thinks but I am not going to push for it.
