Disc 13

May 25th & June 01st 1984: Matches also on Classics 167 and 168

1. Seiji Sakaguchi vs. Andre the Giant - Awkward and pretty awful really.

2. Dick Murdoch vs. Adrian Adonis - Just a weird match-up. Maybe they were too much alike or their hearts weren't into having a good match with one another.

3. Antonio Inoki/Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Riki Choshu/Masa Saito - Interesting ending as Choshu seemed to pin Inoki after a lariat but the ref didn't call the fall. Choshu then flipped out and hit lariats on both the ref and Fujinami. I didn't like the body of the match. They worked a lot of holds but without much fire. Too much standing around for a nomination.

4. Riki Choshu vs. Andre the Giant - Choshu was allowed to slam Andre, which kind of showed his elevated status. But he couldn't figure a way to work an interesting match with the big guy.

5. Kengo Kimura/Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Yoshikai Yatsu/Masa Saito - Less than 24 hours after watching it, I don't remember that much about this match. Never a good sign.

6. Antonio Inoki vs. Adrian Adonis - Another drab match. Adonis applied some weak, lazy holds instead of bumping around like a freak and clobbering Inoki. They didn't show the ending. These were two crappy episodes relative to most of the stuff NJ was cranking out in 1984.
