Posted September 29, 200817 yr comment_5434936 American Heavyweight Title: “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin © vs. “Gentleman” Chris Adams (11/24/83) This is the culmination of a month long feud that had the focus go from Adams to Sunshine as she aligned with Adams giving him all of Garvin’s tapes. This was a really good back and forth match with lots of heat and both men looking good especially Adams. Adams hit Garvin flush with a Superkick sending him to the floor but as he suplexed him back in the ring, Precious tripped him up getting a nearfall for Garvin. Garvin then tried to go on the attack but Sunshine would rake his eyes letting Adams pin Garvin to win the title. There was more brawling after the match with the highlight being Sunshine slapping David Manning stiff. I think this should go on the block but I was overly excited.
October 10, 200816 yr comment_5435102 I don't think this is the best match these two had against each other, but it is a great one, and certainly one of the biggest. The Garvin/Sunshine feud is so awesome. Garvin mocking Sunshine while he slams Adams head into the turnbuckle and she keeps jumping up trying to swat at him, and then Garvin just laughing in Sunshine's face was such a great bastard heel spot. October 12, 200816 yr comment_5435140 Romdam 1 1. Jim Garvin vs. Chris Adams - Reunion Arena, 11-24-83 I liked this match, but it just didn't get enough time to build. I thought Adams looked great and Garvin showed tons of charisma. This might go on as an extra as part of the Adams/Sunshine vs. Garvin/Precious feud recap. I thought the false finish of Precious tripping Adams was great that I bought as a finish.
June 6, 201015 yr comment_5451691 We already have SIX of this matchup on the set. One of those is SLL's working #1 and a couple of others were viewed as definite nominations. I don't think we need a SEVENTH match. It stays in doubt.
