Badstreet Match for the vacant World Class Six-Man Tag Titles: The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy, Michael Hayes, & Buddy Roberts) vs. Kerry, Kevin, & Mike Von Erich (7/4/84)

Is there any doubt on this match as it was so fucking awesome as everyone just beat the holy shit out of each other. Grand slam nomination.

7. Freebirds vs Kerry, Kevin, + Mike Von Erich - Badstreet match; Ft Worth

I think this is the Observer Moty from 84. This has got to go forward on that alone. The heat was off the charts and was there from bell to bell. This was just a wild out of control brawl. The work was super stiff which added to the heat. Overall, just a fucking awesome match and a slam dunk of a nomination. A top 10 finish.

Man, Mike Von Erich is really not suited to this type of match at all. He looks so feeble on offense compared to everyone else, and when selling in the context of something this badass, he just looks like a dweeb. That, and the ending felt wrong for this match. This is just me saying that the match didn't strike me as the slam dunk that it will to most, even though this sort of wild brawl is usually my kind of bout. Actually, it still is, because this was still an awesome match and an easy nomination. I just don't see it being a top 10 match for me.
