The major complaint about Adonis and Murdoch in NJ would be that they tended to work very one-sided and therefore, repetitive matches. That said, this was a top-notch version of the Dick and Adrian show as they unloaded seemingly every move in their vast arsenal on Fujinami. It had a surprise ending too, when Fujinami whipped Murdoch into Adonis on the outside and lunged into the ring for the win by countout. I'll nominate it as a first-rate example of matches that were intrinsic to '83-'85 NJ, but I wouldn't go to the wall for it.

Childs is really right about North South taking the entire match. Their stuff looked good but this felt like a Steiners in Japan match where the Japaneese guys were just there to get their asses kicked. Really hot crowd, good work but It feels like something that should go on, but is not something I am going to vote high. I want to see the other North South matches.

I feel like the lone representative of North/South here and was already to declare this a lone vote from me so I was shocked to even see a lackluster endorsement from either of you. Anyway,

Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch vs. Tatsumi Fujinami & Kengo Kimura

- A little slower pace than the Manila match but same story… North/South systematically destroy the natives while they get in the occasional hope spot. Of course, since I love their teamwork, that would be enthusiastic support from me but whatever. The whole idea that every match has to have parity to be good is new to me. Sometimes, it is great to watch a killer ass beating and watch the guys come back for more whipping. The gaijin win by a countout which is similar to the RNR winning by fluke pin or Dusty finish but I guess the Andersons have better offense or something, I guess. Nomination.
