int: Michael Hayes + Kerry Von Erich - Ft Worth

int: Michael Hayes

- highlights of Kerry Von Erich vs Iceman Parsons

- Jerry Lawler video

This was great. Did we ever get the Parsons/Lawler match?

1. Michael Hayes + Kerry Von Erich vs Iceman Parsons + Buddy Roberts

It's great seeing Hayes work face in Texas. The fans are super hot for him and for KVE as well. Parsons bumping early for the Hayes/KVE team was good.

- Kerry Von Erich/Jerry Lawler confrontation; 1st one

This is a great segment and should be an extra.

int: Michael Hayes

This was great. Hayes had me laughing my ass off.

- Buddy Jack's Bar Stool w/ Shaun Simpson

Simpson blows on the mike.

2. Michael Hayes + Kerry Von Erich vs Iceman Parsons + Buddy Roberts - Wild West Wrestling

This is JIP about 15 minutes in. I liked what I saw.

int: Iceman Parsons + Buddy Roberts

3. Michael Hayes vs Buddy Roberts - Badstreet match; Wild West Wrestling; Houston Arena Theater

This is a brawl. It doesn't come across as hate filled as it should be. This should have been shorter. I liked this match up on one of the earlier discs much better.

4. Jerry Lawler vs Terry Taylor

Lawler's tease of the big punch was great. Taylor's cheapshotting of Lawler was tremendous. Both wrestlers are working hard here. No finish is shown. What is shown was excellent. I wonder if this is complete somewhere else. This was some highend stuff that wants me to see a Lawler/Tayor match complete.

int: Michael Hayes + Kerry Von Erich

- highlights Michael Hayes vs Buddy Roberts cage match

The angle that follows was tremendous.

5. Terry Gordy vs John Tatum

More of an angle than match, but Bam Bam was the man.

6. Kerry Von Erich vs Kamala

These wrestlers have had good matches in the past. Like Kamala did in 83, he still fears the claw. This was solid stuff again, to me it was just a tad too short to register as a nomination. The work was good though.

7. Bill Irwin vs Black Bart

This starts out hot and heavy. Both wrestlers are bringing it. The finish sucked, but the work was good. It falls short as a nomination for me, but I still thought it was a good bout.

8. Terry Gordy vs John Tatum - Badstreet match

Gordy throws a mean bomb. Tatum bumps and stooges around well. The bout was o.k, it just didn't click for me.

int: Buddy Roberts; Michael Hayes confronts Buddy and Samoan Swat Team attack Michael

This is a neat angle, and a possible extra.

int: Skandar Akbar w/ Iceman Parsons

- Buddy Roberts promo

- highlights Bill Iwin vs Black Bart - Texas Stadium, 5-8-88

This starts with a Hayes/Kerry promo from Fort Worth before Akbar shows up and gets his ass kicked. Good stuff.

Hayes is then interviewed by Pringle about Kamala coming in to take care of him.

Then we get highlights of Kerry/Iceman from 5/20/88.

Jerry Lawler sends in a video announcing his entrance into World Class and this is a definite extra.

Lights Out Match: Michael “PS” Hayes & “Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von erich vs. Iceman King Parsons & Buddy Roberts (6/3/88)

Iceman takes a beating early on bumping like crazy for the punches of the faces before tagging in Buddy who takes more of the same. Hayes shows a lot of fire here going after both of the new Birds but would get caught in their corner where the numbers game would catch up to him until Kerry decides to make it a 4-way brawl. Akbar would show up at ringside to distract Kerry as the Birds tried to cripple Hayes laying on a chair. Iceman then comes off the top rope with the cane but hits Roberts instead. Iceman & Akbar would then pound on Kerry on the floor until Hayes breaks that up and the referee calls for the bell for the DQ. Roberts then puts on his glove trying to punch Hayes but he would block it with a chair that Buddy would no-sell. Buddy would then go for a heart punch but the camera immediately cut off to commercial. This was fun but too short and not enough for a nomination.

Lawler makes his Sportatorium debut in a confrontation with Kerry and this is a definite extra. (6/17/88)

Hayes then cuts an awesome promo on Roberts and this is a definite extra.

Steve Simpson is a guest on Buddy Jack’s Bar Stool and Roberts was hilarious.

Then we get clips from a Hayes/Kerry vs. Iceman/Buddy match from Kansas City.

Iceman & Buddy then cut a promo on Hayes & Kerry.

Badstreet Match: Buddy Roberts vs. Michael “PS” Hayes (6/12/88)

There was some great punches thrown here by both men especially Hayes who dressed in his normal attire for this match surprisingly. Hayes dominates early on but Roberts makes a comeback and is ruthless going for a legdrop on Hayes’ nuts. Hayes would come back though using Buddy’s own boot against him until Buddy would counter by throwing Hayes to the floor. Buddy would put on his glove but would miss on Hayes who would hit Buddy and the referee. Buddy would still catch Hayes though with an uppercut for the win. I agree that a shorter version of this match might have been better and Buddy didn’t look that great other than his punches. Not as good as the Dallas one for sure and not a nomination.

Jerry “The King” Lawler vs. Terry Taylor (6/17/88)

God damn I loved the early part of this match with Taylor sneaking in his punches to setup Lawler and his punching brigade. Taylor would get control but Lawler would fight back with a clothesline over the top rope before the action returned to the ring where TV time would run out. What a bunch of bullshit because this was looking like great stuff.

Hayes & Kerry then cut a promo on whoever is in their way with Hayes talking about Kerry drinking milk while he drinks whiskey which is hilarious.

Then we get highlights of a Hayes/Buddy steel cage match from the Sportatorium on 6/17/88. This looked great and too bad we don’t have this complete.

Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy vs. “Hollywood” John Tatum (6/17/88)

Gordy is surrounded by Tatum, Victory, & Buddy and has to fight them all off which he does very well before Shaun Simpson shows up and not long after Michael Hayes. It’s a wild 6-way brawl with the faces kicking ass and this is a definite extra.

“Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. Kamala (6/17/88)

The crowd heat was awesome for this match as these two bring the same sorta psychology they would use in their matches some 5 years earlier with Kamala still being scared of the iron claw. Kerry was great here as he was always against Kamala for some reason. Kamala would hit his big splash on Kerry near the ropes for the pin as Kerry would get his foot on the ropes that Akbar would knock off.

Wild Bill Irwin vs. Black Bart (6/24/88)

These two are fresh from a 30-day suspension and they just beat on each other for the whole match with nothing fancy as it was just a straight up fight. Irwin really gets off some good punches here and this had some good stuff but the lack of crowd heat sucked. Akbar would get involved for a shitty DQ finish as Irwin would hit Bart with his big high kick. Irwin would choke out Akbar after the match until Bart hit him with his whip. This had some good stuff like I said but not enough for a nomination.

Badstreet Match: Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy vs. “Hollywood” John Tatum (6/24/88)

Tatum gets the best of Gordy early on and would try to stick and move in and out of the ring but Gordy would start throwing punches that would stop that strategy forcing Tatum to go toe for toe. Tatum would even break out a piledriver on Gordy and Tatum would get a good bit of offense in here but soon enough Gordy would regain control forcing Tatum to start stooging again to keep Gordy at bay. Gordy would pound on Tatum who bumped around the ring and you could tell that Gordy was having problems with his knees in those two huge braces. Jack Victory would show up at ringside for a long stalling session as Gordy would do some stalling himself waiting for Victory to leave. The fight would go back to the ring though where a slugfest would kick in until Victory interfered but Tatum would clothesline him by mistake allowing Gordy to hit him with one for the win. They would double up on Gordy after the match until Simpson would run out to even the odds but they heels would go for his hair until Steve Simpson would run out to make the save. The match was very long and plodding with the psychology of the match going against what a Badstreet match was all about. Not a nomination although the angle after the match was fun.

Buddy Roberts wants Michael Hayes to meet him in the ring wanting to resolve their differences with them showing highlights of a glove on a pole match that Hayes would win. Hayes would then come out with Buddy apologizing for ruining the concert and starting their war that would of course lead to Roberts leading the SST into attacking Hayes. This was a great angle and a definite extra.

Akbar then cuts a promo with Iceman which is funny considering their past

Buddy then announces that he is starting a new family in the SST.

Kevin Von Erich comes out ready for a match against Terry Taylor for the Texas title but Frank Dusek walks out and says that Taylor can’t wrestle due to injury and gives the belt to Kevin. (7/8/88)

Then we get clips of Bart/Irwin from Texas Stadium on 5/8/88.

int: Michael Hayes

Awesome promo. This is an extra.

- Buddy Jack's Bar Stool w/ Shaun Simpson

This was hilarious. Buddy ruled so much in this period. Extra.

Badstreet Match: Buddy Roberts vs. Michael “PS” Hayes (6/12/88)

Yeah, this was a disappointment. Both guys were surprisingly tentative considering how hot this feud was. I loved the set up at the Houston Arena Theater, though.

Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy vs. “Hollywood” John Tatum (6/17/88)

Great brawl and a great angle here. Agreed that it's an extra.
