Posted October 18, 200816 yr comment_5435279 I wouldn't say this was a masterpiece of structure or storytelling, but it was a crapload of fun as three future stars of the '90s tried to upstage each other over a surprisingly long match. All three had the crowd popping like crazy with early versions of some of their signature stuff. People will really enjoy this one, so it should go on the set.
August 12, 200916 yr comment_5442738 This has the novelty factor going for it but there are some cringe moments including the whiffed spinning Hashinoto Kick when Mutoh was set up in the Hart Attack bearhug. Compared to some of the high-end six-mans that will be on the set, this won't make the cut. I think the big players will all be featured on there but we don't need a mid-level match included in order to give them face time. On the other hand, before the match is an Inoki commercial for a Walkman that could be thrown on as an EXTRA.
August 13, 200916 yr Author comment_5442748 Wow, I didn't think of this and the Fujinami/Giant Machine match as lukewarm nominations. Now I'm interested to see what Phil thinks.
August 13, 200916 yr comment_5442749 I was comparing it to some of the high end six man tags we already have and I thought this was 6 guys trying hard but not anything I would want to see again except to see guys like Hash or Mutoh in their youth.
August 13, 200916 yr comment_5442754 I am with Childs here, there are some awkward moments, but all six guys are going at with such reckless abandon that it makes up for it. So much fun and it is cool to see young Yamada and young Hash kick out the jams. Plus you have to dig the crazy crowd which you might not expect for undercarders and young guys. Should make the set.
