Flair is awesome here dancing around to piss off Adams and to get the fans more behind him. Adams wanted to keep Flair on the mat early on working with hammerlocks and his feet on the ropes for leverage with the match in general not looking like the Flair by numbers match which was most likely because Flair was working face. Adams would really work over Flair’s left arm thus rendering Flair a one-armed man but Flair would break out an airplane spin out of a hammerlock which I’ve never seen him use before. Flair would then start working over Adams’ left arm before throwing him to the floor but as Flair tried to suplex Adams back in the ring, he would counter out with a sleeper. Flair would use a backdrop suplex to counter out of that and a slugfest would ensue before Adams would miss a 180 splash onto Rick Hazzard. Adams would roll up Flair in an inside cradle for a nearfall and Flair would counter with an O’Connor Roll for a nearfall. Flair would go for Adams’ left leg but Adams would force him to go to the Boston Crab. This brought in Gary Hart would hit Flair with his belt for the DQ and they brutalized Flair after the match. This was a really good match with a horrid finish and I’m throwing it on the block anyway.

After the strutting and stuff the match goes to the mat and Adams was great here. It was textbook on how to work an arm. On top of that Adams would heel it up with using the ropes for leverage. Eventually, Flair would make a comeback and would work Adams arm with revenge spots. This was great as well. I bought the fall at the ref bump. The finish was shit, but the work was awesome and a nomination.
