Posted October 27, 200816 yr comment_5435397 American Tag Titles: The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) © vs. The Midnight Express (“Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton) (1/11/85) The fans are insane over the Fants here as they have heat similar to the Von Erichs at their peak almost. Rogers puts on a great one-man show early here as he takes a pounding but makes his own comeback and doesn’t tag in Fulton as he just keeps on going. Fulton would finally get the tag as Rogers started to get tired and he keeps up the pressure with Eaton bumping all over the place with great selling. It would take some illegal hair pulling by Condrey on Fulton to kick start the MX control section. Fulton plays FIP here which isn’t the norm and takes a beating from the MX along with Cornette getting his shots in. Fulton isn’t as great as Rogers is being the FIP but he does really well here and the fans are dying for him to get the hot tag. Rogers would get said hot tag and cleans house on the MX until Fulton joins him for the 4-way brawl but Condrey would throw Rogers into David Manning knocking him down. The brawl wound continue until Rogers went for an O’Connor Roll on Eaton and Cornette KOed him with a tennis racket so the MX could get the win in a match that went 17:21. This was a fantastic match (no pun intended) and easily goes on the block.
November 15, 200816 yr comment_5435737 How awesome was Rogers kicking at Eaton on the outside to avoid the MX tag. The MX just stooging their asses off for The Fantastics. Dallas just loves The Fantastics. This was just another in a long line of great bouts between the 2 teams. That pop off the hot tag was insane. Just a great finish to a great match. A total nomination.
December 13, 200915 yr comment_5446376 My mind wandered at a few points for some reason, but this was still an awesome bout. Cornette is really amped up at the beginning, as he does not want to be humiliated again, and the MX delivers big. This goes forward. [Romdam 37]
