Decision Match for the vacant American Tag Titles: The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. The Midnight Express (“Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton) (4/5/85)

 

This starts out really fast with both teams busting their ass and fighting in and out of the ring. Both teams play to their strenghts as usual with Rogers taking a big-time beating with Eaton hitting a fucking awesome powerslam on him. Eaton was a madman here both on offense and bumping all over the place. Rogers would get the hot tag on Fulton starting up the fireworks with Eaton running into Rick Hazzard knocking him down then Cornette blasts Fulton with a tennis racket but Fulton would kick out of a pinfall attempt. David Manning then comes down calling the match as the 4 men continue to pound on each other. Shitty finish but the match was definintely enough to move forward.

I don't know how Eaton never had a broken back taking that hip toss on the floor spot he did throughout the 80's and 90's. Rogers and the MX looked great. Again another killer match. The workrate between the 2 teams is so good. This goes forward as well.
