Posted November 6, 200816 yr comment_5435568 I had never heard this pimped, but it was one of the best matches I've watched for the project. Crowd was molten and all four guys just went at it hard from the opening bell. The Takada/Maeda exchanges were particularly heated and violent and it felt like it would be a really big deal for Takada to pin his mentor. Again, Koshinaka and Takada worked smoothly as a unit. They whipped the crowd into a frenzy at one point when they stomped Maeda to the mat in tandem. Decent ending too as it was conclusive without taking away from anyone's great performance. Slam dunk nomination. Appears on NJ TV 12/8/86 and NJ Classics 251
June 21, 200916 yr comment_5440990 Yeah this was really great, I have been down on Takada, but his exchanges with Maeda were off the charts here. I am a big time Kido mark too, and I thought he was super solid in this as well. No doubt on a nomination
September 3, 200916 yr comment_5443780 MAeda-Koshinaka was the best of the early match-ups with both guys going through some nice exchanges in the first minute and doing some decent stuff on the mat later on. Takada-MAeda on the mat is a little stale for me but I love how Maeda used his foot to get out of the leg lock and go into the half crab. I never get tired of them kicking each other though and there was one blast that I thought could have knocked Maeda out legit. A little further, there was a point where Maeda just ran and took a bump for nothing but it was a minor issue. I love how I start to wander a bit and then MAeda-Takada do a kick exchange and I am wide awake again. Super stretch run after the spike piledriver. Nomiantion.
