1. Eric Embry, Kerry Von Erich, Steve Cox, + Frank Dusek vs Samoan Swat Team, Jeff Jarrett, + Eddie Marlin - Texas vs Tennessee

SST'S tearing up autographs was a nice start. This had some fun moments, but overall not a nomination. A fun post match though. This might fall into extra material.

2. Michael Hayes + Jeff Jarrett vs David Henkel + Mike Stetson

Squash.

int: Michael Hayes + Jeff Jarrett

- Jerry Lawler video

3. Eric Embry vs Beast

I was wondering if we'll get a Beast match w/o a Kamala reference.I thought this was bad. At least we get a fun post match brawl.

4. Eric Embry vs Jim Ward

Squash and an angle.

- Jimmy Golden + Robert Fuller promo

A great promo puuting themseleves over.

- Brickhouse Brown promo

int: Buddy Roberts

- Gary Young + cactus Jack promo

Jack's NY accent when he said Gary was great since he claims to be from the south.

5. Samoan Swat Team vs Michael Hayes + Jeff Jarrett

I thought Fatu was great at working the crowd in this. Jarrett was great as the FIP. The SST just murdered him. I dug how Jarrett was stepping on Fatu's feet to get the tag that the ref missed. Hayes work off the hot tag was awesome. It was full of high energy. This was a nice southern tag that just feels like it falls short of a nomination.

- Jimmy Golden + Robert Fuller promo

Jarrett/Brown/Embry vs. Parsons/Kamala/Akbar

No finish is shown. The match wasn't much.

- Ric Flair promo

The normal Flair promo.

int: Al Madril

6. Ric Flair vs Al Madril

This was a good match. Flair did a good job making Madril look as good as possible. I don't get the booking of a draw. Not a nomination.

int: Ric Flair

Just another fun Flair interview.

7. Iceman Parsons + Buck Zumhoffe vs Super Destroyers - Ft Worth

For big wrestlers the Super Destroyers have some neat stooge spots. We're JIP about 3 or 4 minutes in. Parsons was the star here with his shuck and jive stuff, and his FIP work. Plus for and added bonus he throws a stiff chop. I thought the Super Destroyers worked hard here. I loved the finish. The right man got beat. Post match the faces get revenge with the unmasking of the Super Destroyers. Overall, I liked this. The angle puts this over the top as a low end nomination. Overall, I don't see this bout making it far but what the Hell.

int: Skandar Akbar

int: Kerry Von Erich about losing world title to Ric Flair in Japan

The V.E propaganda is in full effect and an extra.

8. Kevin + Mike Von Erich vs Terry Gordy + Buddy Roberts

I dig Kevin's WOS/Lucha mat work . I liked this. I thought Roberts and Gordy looked great. MVE as the FIP is the right role for him, but he's so damn awkward. It took me out of the bout. This was good, but not a nomination.

Watching the stuff I haven’t seen.

“Flamboyant” Eric Embry vs. Jim Ward (11/25/88)

Squash and Embry gets destroyed afterwards by Devastation Inc.

Then we get a promo by Fuller & Golden which is pretty good followed up with a promo from Brickhouse which fucking ruled and is a definite extra.

Buddy Roberts then cuts a promo about working against Garvin & Hayes.

Cactus & Young then send a promo regarding their entry into the area.

Then we get a wild brawl with Embry & Muto on the floor as revenge for the earlier angle and this whole thing is extra material.

Michael “PS” Hayes & Jeff Jarrett vs. The Samoan Swat Team (Fatu & Samu) (11/25/88)

Fatu mimicing Hayes doing his schtick before the match was great. Jarrett looks really good early on offense and it was great seeing Fatu playing a stooging chickenshit heel. The tide would turn though and Jarrett would take a pounding showing his great skills playing the FIP. Jarrett would fight back only to be squelched by the SST’s double teams but he would stomp on Samu’s feet to get the tag to Hayes that Paul Neighbors doesn’t see. Jarrett then takes some more punishment before finally getting the hot tag to Hayes who is making his first entry into the match. Hayes comes in blazing hitting a big double DDT followed up by a double bulldog on the SST as the fans go nuts. The 4-way brawl would be on until Buddy jumps in the ring to break up a pin attempt by Jarrett which would bring out Steve Cox who confronts Buddy on the floor. The brawling continues in the ring so Paul Neighbors calls for the bell as now Jimmy Jack Funk shows up starting a wild brawl on the floor. This was very fun but I’m not sure on a nomination.

Fuller & Golden then send in another promo.

Then we get a feud retrospective of Embry/Devastation Inc. and this is extra material.

Brickhouse Brown, “Flamboyant” Eric Embry, & Jeff Jarrett vs. Kamala, Iceman King Parsons, & Skandor Akbar (12/16/88)

Fun while it lasted but TV time runs out.

Then we get a great Ric Flair promo of him on the town in Dallas with some women while Kerry cuts a promo from his gym setting up their upcoming match on 8/15/82. Definite extra.

“Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs. Al Madril (8/3/82)

Flair is great here as he carries Madril to his best match I’ve seen so far and makes him look like a real credible challenger to him. Then we get a clip where we come back to the match with 3 minutes left so we missed like 2 minutes. Madril is giving it all he has trying to defeat Flair even breaking out the figure-four leglock that he would hold on to as the bell rang. Flair & Madril get into it again after the match and Flair follows up with a great promo. What was shown was great and even with the 2 minutes missing I think this should go on the block as a low-end nomination.

American Tag Titles vs. Masks: Iceman King Parsons & Buck Zumhofe © vs. Super Destroyers (Wild Bill & Scott Irwin) (5/21/84)

This is JIP on here so I’ll wait to see the complete version that SLL has.

Akbar then cuts a promo afterwards about this situation.

Then we get a promo from Kerry about losing the NWA title in Japan and this is a definite extra.

Kevin & Mike Von Erich vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy & Buddy Roberts) (6/8/84)

Kerry & Hayes are at ringside with their families. The match is pretty much a trainwreck whenever Mike is involved it seemed as the other three were just so much better than him it wasn’t even close. This would end up in a big schmozz featuring Hayes, Kerry, & Killer Khan forcing a DQ. Overall this was a good match but we have so many better matches with any combo of these guys so not a nomination.

For the purposes of expediency, I'm just cutting to the match that's up for nomination.

“Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs. Al Madril (8/3/82)

Babyface Madril was pretty bad, but I'll give him credit, he had his game face on here. Really fired up, and I bought that he was bringing his A-game against the champ. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this wasn't a carryjob, as Madril more-or-less held his own. That figure-four looked like shit, but he threw a lot of good punches and his firey underdog babyface stuff was great. Flair gave a classic Flair-style performance. I came out of this wanting to see a rematch, which I'm not sure we ever got. It's not the best match either man has, but I'll agree with it as a low-end nom.
