Mike Von Erich makes his return to World Class at the Cotton Bowl addressing the fans and thanking them for their support.

Then we get clips of the Fantastics vs. DJ Peterson & John Tatum at the Cotton Bowl and features the beginning of the Sunshine/Missy feud. Extra material.

The Great Kabuki vs. Maniac Mark Lewin (10/6/85)

This was what you would expect between these two and with a shitty DQ finish as Gary Hart would shake the ropes as Kabuki tried to climb them.

Taped Fist Match: Iceman King Parsons vs. One Man Gang (10/6/85)

Kerry is in Iceman’s corner to offset Gary Hart. This match has rounds with quasi boxing rules but has wrestling rules with it as well. Both men throw some great punches to start and it takes a turn when Iceman hits the Butt Butt tieing up Gang in the ropes before he falls to the floor. Gang would come back in the ring to end the 1st round and he would get more offense in the 2nd round but Iceman would finish strong having Gang in a compromising position as the bell rang. Gang would take control in the 3rd round using his weight to put the pressure on Iceman but Iceman would make a comeback before trying to attack Gary Hart who would give Gang some coins. Gang would miss with the coins as Iceman would pick them up and hit Gang with them sending him to the floor where he would get counted out as Kerry puts the claw on Hart. This was a good match with some damn good punches thrown and I’m throwing it on the block.

Mercer then interviews Fritz & Mike Von Erich talking about Mike’s status and they introduce Lance Von Erich. This was hilarious because the guy that played Lance Von Erich was from the Metroplex and was well known as a high school athlete under his real name of Ricky Vaughn.

Texas Tornado Match: Iceman King Parsons & “Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. Maniac Mark Lewin & One Man Gang (10/18/85)

This wasn’t as good as the previous Texas Tornado matches but still fun as the faces were doing whatever they could to get the Gang off of his feet and he took everything including some great punches by Kerry. The heels would get control working over Kerry’s right leg while keeping Iceman on the floor but Kerry would put the claw on Gary Hart as he was being beaten on then making a comeback getting the claw on both heels at the same time with Iceman using a shoulder hold on Lewin in a cool spot. Lewin would chunk Iceman over the top rope to the floor leaving Kerry in the ring to fight off the heels but the numbers game would catch up to him and Gang would send Kerry shoulder first into the ringpost. Gang would get pissed off at Lewin for hitting him by mistake then would attack Gary Hart as he tried to break it up before attacking Lewin ending the match in a DQ. Gang then says that he needs nobody but himself and attacks them again but Lewin would pull out his stick stabbing Gang with it. I don’t know about the match being on the block but the angle afterwards is extra material.

Hair vs. Hair Lumberjack Match: Kerry & Kevin Von Erich vs. The Dynamic Duo (“Gentleman” Chris Adams & “Handsome Halfbreed” Gino Hernandez) (10/6/85)

There is no shadow of a doubt in my mind that this isn’t a slam dunk nomination as all the hatred over the past year has come to a head here with this big stipulation match and all four men work their ass off to make this great.

Rick Rude makes his debut in World Class and the introduction of Percy Pringle would soon follow and this is extra material.

Then we get another Lance introduction this time from Fort Worth.

“Gentleman” Chris Adams vs. Kevin Von Erich (10/18/85)

Adams debuts the Dynamic Duo masked gimmick wearing a Cien Caras style mask which was fucking awesome. Kevin running his fingers through his hair was a great taunting move to Adams and would go for the mask early which was the highlight of the early part of the match because they worked on the mat. There was some really solid matwork between these two with some good counter wrestling but Adams would get the control that wouldn’t last long though as Kevin made a comeback and got the iron claw on Adams who would drop to the floor as Gino would come down in his mask. Of course they would do the switch with Gino getting a small package on Kevin to get the win. I fucking loved this as Gino had to start wearing kneepads to get this gimmick over and the fans were confused. Very fun match and a nomination.

Pringle then cuts a promo talking about bringing in more guys.

Mercer then goes car shopping with Tatum & Missy and this is extra material.

“Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. The Missing Link (11/1/85)

Pringle has brought in the Link as his newest charge to rekindle his feud with the Von Erichs. The fans chanting faggot at Pringle is hilarious. The match doesn’t last too long as both men trade the advantage until Pringle gets involved for the DQ.

“Hollywood” John Tatum vs. Scott Casey (11/15/85)

Missy’s tits are gigantic here and hanging low. There are a couple of big clips in this match so we miss quite a bit.

Kevin cuts a promo in Fort Worth about Lance wrestling Flair until the masked Chris Adams shows up starting a brawl bringing out masked Gino and Lance to make the save. Kevin then rips the mask off of Adams but you don’t see anything. Extra material.

Next we get another World Class highlight video to The Heat Is On by Glenn Frey. Definite extra.

A living miracle, and we meet LVE for the 1st time. It's sad but an extra.

- end of fantastics vs DJ Peterson + John Tatum - Cotton Bowl

The Fantastics were RNRoll Express over in Texas. We get more Missy and Sunshine stuff.

1. Kabuki vs Mark Lewin - Cotton Bowl

This blew. The Kabuki turn on Cowboy Scott and Sunshine was good. It's been a bad afternoon for Sunshine.

A song about WCCW. This is another extra.

2. One Man Gang vs Iceman Parsons - taped fist match; Cotton Bowl

OMG's Andre bump was neat. The subsequent bump to the floor was king sized. This was fun enough to go forward.

int: Fritz + Mike Von Erich and Lance Von Erich - Cotton Bowl

Lance is like the replacement Duke Boys from the show to put it in a pop culture reference

3. Kerry Von Erich + Iceman Parsons vs Mark Lewin + One Man Gang

This is Texas Tornado rules. OMG takes some amazing bumps for a man of his size.I thought this had its moments. Overall, I give this a no. A great angle with the Gang afterwards though.

4. Kerry + Kevin Von Erich vs Chris Adams + Gino hernandez - hair match; Cotton Bowl

This is one of my all time favorite angles. The heat is amazing. This is a lock and one of the most memoreable bouts in the history of the promotion. The aftermath was amazing.

int: Rick Rude

int: Rick Rude; he introduces Percy Pringle

int: Kerry + Kevin Von Erich; they introduce Lance Von Erich

5. Kevin Von Erich vs a masked Chris Adams

The masks add a nice wrinkle to the feud. The mat work was fun to watch. Adams was working rudo style here. Gino comes down to ringside with his mask telegraphing the finish. Still good enough to go forward.

int: Percy Pringle

int: Bill Mercer goes shopping with Missy Hyatt

6. Kerry Von Erich vs Missing Link

7. John Tatum vs Scott Casey

Oh Missy. Her tits are scary. This is all great stuff with the girls. Sunshine is so great doing this stuff with Precious and now Missy.

int: Kevin Von Erich; masked Chris Adams + Gino Hernandez attack Kevin until Lance Von Erich makes save and unmasks Adams

Extra material here, plus the Heat is on video.

Mike Von Erich Interview

God, "Gonna Fly Now" almost feels like it's deliberately mocking him. GETTING STRONG NOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! Sleaze extra.

The Fantastics vs. John Tatum & D.J. Peterson

JIP to the end and the Sunshine/Missy stuff. Kinda weird to see Tatum just chuck Sunshine out of the ring like that. I'd back this as an extra.

The Great Kabuki vs. Maniac Mark Lewin (10/6/85)

I actually thought this was pretty good. Lewin playing "hide the foreign object" was fun, and Kabuki's unpredictable babyface routine made for probably the best run of his career. Unfortunately, that comes to an end here, as Kabuki turns heel and Sunshine gets chucked again. At least the heel turn was well done.

"I'm Goin' to Rasslin'"

You know, it would be kinda nice if we had our own "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" or "The Hockey Song". That said, probably a good thing this wasn't it. I'll support it as an extra for the cheese factor.

Taped Fist Match: Iceman King Parsons vs. One Man Gang (10/6/85)

Interesting gimmick. This was a great slugfest as you might imagine, and Kerry and Hart both were effective cornermen. Liked their little showdown between the second and third rounds and their brawl at the end. Parsons dodging Gang's loaded punches at the end was leading to the big knockout blow to the outside was a suitably strong finish to the match. This moves forward.

Sunshine calls out Missy

This was fun. Missy's histrionics were great here. Extra.

Fritz/Mike/Lance Interview

Lance's introduction makes this an extra.

Texas Tornado Match: Iceman King Parsons & “Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. Maniac Mark Lewin & One Man Gang (10/18/85)

Great brawl that falls just short of a nomination. I will back the ending and post-match stuff as extra material.

Hair vs. Hair Lumberjack Match: Kerry & Kevin Von Erich vs. The Dynamic Duo (“Gentleman” Chris Adams & “Handsome Halfbreed” Gino Hernandez) (10/6/85)

This is the last really hyped match going into this project that I hadn't seen yet. Suffice it to say, this ain't the New Japan set. No shitty Tiger Mask/Dynamite Kid matches, no boring Inoki/Fujinami matches, not even any great but mildly overrated Fujinami/Maeda matches. Everything that came into this project hyped as a potential #1 contender totally deserved that hype, and this was no exception. If this doesn't move forward, nothing does.

Rick Rude Interview

Rude/Pringle Interview

Rude makes his (non-jobber) debut, and Percy follows suit after Rude wins the American Title. Extra material.

Lance/Kerry/Kevin Interview

I was amused by Kevin pretty much outright saying what Lance's whole purpose in the promotion was. "He's the closest thing to a brother....We need a brother right now." Yeah, even if you have to invent one whole cloth. I'm not opposed to wrestling promoters lying, and Lance seemed to be over enough that it offset any problems people may have had with him not being a shoot Von Erich (Hell, it's not like Waldo was really Fritz's brother, either), but if the whole plan was to bring him in to replace Mike and then shove him into the background once Mike got back to the ring, maybe you shouldn't have slapped such a valuable surname on him.

“Gentleman” Chris Adams vs. Kevin Von Erich (10/18/85)

Really good match that introduced a clever gimmick, but we've seen much better stuff from these two in both singles and tags. I have to say "no".

Percy Pringle Interview

The crowd chants "faggot" at Percy. He tells them off and says that this sort of treatment is uncalled for...and they stop chanting. Wow, a rare introspective moment for a wrestling crowd.

Missy/Tatum Interview

Man, Guy Laney Lincoln-Mercury got some really good endorsement from World Class. Extra.

“Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. The Missing Link (11/1/85)

Crowd chants "faggot" at Percy. C'mon, guys. Have we learned nothing? The action here is great, as you would expect from these two. Link working over Kerry's knee with headbutts was awesome. It's pretty short and doesn't have much of a finish, but I could see it being extra material.

“Hollywood” John Tatum vs. Scott Casey (11/15/85)

Match is clipped to Hell, but what's shown is only mildly interesting. You're watching this for the Sunshine/Missy stuff. I'm kinda surprised you guys picked this match to single out Missy's giant, sagging tits. I think they look a lot less jarring here than they did in some of her earlier appearances on the disc. She benefits from wearing a low-cut top here, confirming that, yes, her breasts do grow off of her chest, whereas some of the other tops we've seen her in give you the impression that she's got some kind of medical condition that makes her boobs grow out of her abdomen. Low cut top also seems to downplay just how low they hang. Of course, she could always just, I dunno, wear a bra every now and then. Anyway, the ending of this might belong in the Sunshine/Missy file.

int: Kevin Von Erich; masked Chris Adams + Gino Hernandez attack Kevin until Lance Von Erich makes save and unmasks Adams

Wow, Lance looked really tame making the save. Everything else about this segment was awesome, though, so I'll back it as an extra.

"The Heat is On" Music Video

Awesome video that makes an easy extra.
