“Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. One Man Gang (11/15/85)

Kerry started out blazing sending the Gang to the floor then running after him before Gang would post him as he would come back to the ring. Gang would go back after him though and Kerry was ready for him attacking him and posting him as revenge before going back to the ring where he would try to lock in the iron claw. Kerry would keep the pressure on Gang giving him everything he had and keeping the Gang at bay but Gang would get his shots in as well making Kerry fight for everything he could get. Kerry would go for the discus punch but Gang would put Rick Hazzard in the way and Kerry just keeps punching away putting Gang in the ropes. Hazzard would call for the DQ as both men were getting ready for a wild brawl. This was a fucking great hard hitting brawl and a easy nomination.

Next we get the Bang Your Head video for Missing Link. Extra material.

Lance Von Erich vs. “Handsome Halfbreed” Gino Hernandez (11/15/85)

Lance has quite the physique going on which Bill Mercer says that you could tell he is a Von Erich and the fans were into him here. This was a back and forth match that saw Lance go for the mask a few times but Gino would get away. Gino wasn’t in a good mood by the way he was working and definitely wasn’t helping the limited Lance but it had a cool finish as Lance turned the mask around making Gino groggy then giving him a schoolboy for the win.

American Heavyweight Title: “Ravishing” Rick Rude © vs. Iceman King Parsons (11/28/85)

This starts out back and forth but Rude would take the advantage and really worked over Iceman for a really long time. Iceman would finally make a comeback getting the fans going as he started throwing soupbones on Rude before missing a 180 splash off the top rope leading to Rude getting the pin in a sloppy finish. Iceman would attack Pringle after the match leading to Rude giving him a DDT on the floor. Okay match with a good angle after the match that is extra material.

Kamala vs. One Man Gang (11/28/85)

It’s a battle of the big heels who just maul each other both inside and outside the ring and Gang would actually start playing babyface but both men wouldn’t quit hitting Bronko Lubich thus forcing a DDQ. This was really short but fun as a big man brawl.

Steel Cage Match: “Hollywood” John Tatum vs. Scott Casey (11/28/85)

Missy & Sunshine are also both inside the cage for this match which is an added twist. Tatum takes a pounding here bumping hard for the cage and eating a piledriver but Tatum would fight back and started giving it to Casey as Missy & Sunshine started fighting a little bit. Both men would try to fight their way out of the cage but they wouldk eep each other inside with Tatum having the advantage. Tatum would climb up top trying to get out but Casey pulled him down before he tried to climb out but Missy would pull him down leading to Tatum rolling out of the cage door for the win. Missy & Sunshine of course fought it out afterwards until Kabuki showed up attacking everyone. Kabuki is a wildman here as it takes numerous people to pull him out of there. The match itself had enough in it to warrant a low-end nomination.

Texas Tornado Decision Steel Cage Match w/Brian Adias & Terry Gordy as referees for the American Tag Titles: The Dynamic Duo (“Gentleman” Chris Adams & “Handsome Halfbreed” Gino Hernandez) vs. Kerry & Kevin Von Erich (11/28/85)

This is yet another awesome all-action brawl between these teams with the referee gimmick being used well although it would end up with both of them getting kicked out of the ring as Gordy was having problems with the Von Erichs. David Manning would take over as the referee which is what the Duo didn’t want. Adams would get his mask ripped off by the Von Erichs and he got a Superkick on Kevin as Gino loaded up his mask headbutting Kerry letting Adams get the win. Gino would get his mask ripped off after the match in a wild brawl. This was great stuff and another easy nomination.

American Heavyweight Title: “Ravishing” Rick Rude © vs. Lance Von Erich (12/25/85)

I will say this about Lance, he got over really good with the fans even more than Mike and he had started working barefoot at this time like Kevin. The match was okay for what it was but these two didn’t really click together and the finish was bad as Pringle used his cane on Lance for the DQ.

Next we get the highlights of Missing Link turning babyface.

“Hollywood” John Tatum & Missy Hyatt vs. Scott Casey & Sunshine (12/25/85)

Missy’s tits are out of this world here as I think that it takes up half her body weight and the guys here were nothing but fodder for the females pretty much although this was fun for what it was.

Then we get highlights of the breakup of the Dynamic Duo which saddened me.

Then we get highlights of Freebirds vs. Von Erichs on 12/25/85.

Mercer then meets the Freebirds at a bar shooting pool and this is a definite extra.

1. Kerry Von Erich vs One Man Gang

I've always thought it was kinda neat to see the faces sign autographs during the prematch. I dug how the wrestlers both posted each other. I like good revenge spots. I dug how KVE was working over OMG's shoulder. It's a shame he went away from it This was a good spirited brawl.. I thought this was a good battle. It was a tad short, but still had so many great moments that I'll give it a nomination. OMG has been awesome here.

- Missing Link video

Possible extra.

2. Lance Von Erich vs a masked Gino Hernandez

Lance has boots here. In the future he would join Kevin as a barefoot Von Erich. This was alright. It had good heat, and an awesome finish. Still not a nomination though.

3. Rick Rude vs Iceman Parsons - Reunion Arena

Overall, I didn't find this interesting in the least. At this point Rude is limited as a worker. I dug the DDT on the floor angle in the postmatch though. Parson's is a solid worker, but not good enough to get a good match out of Rude.

int: post match w/ Rick Rude + Percy Pringle

Pringle does a hard sell for Rude.

4. Kamala vs One Man Gang - Reunion Arena

A neat little brawl that gets thrown out in quick order.

5. John Tatum vs Scott Casey - cage match; Reunion Arena

How old is Missy around this time? She's lookin good even with droopy boobs. The girls are in the ring. I thought the girls did a good job as 2nds. Missy had real good facials, and that cheapshot on Sunshine was great as well. The bout had a ton of heat for a midcard feud.I thought we had a great finish here. The post match was neat. I'll give it a nomination for all the soap opera involved in the bout. The finish put some more steam on Missy. Plus it heated up the Kabuki feud. The aftermath was awesome. Sunshine in tears was a neat touch.

6. Kerry + Kevin Von Erich vs masked Chris Adams + Gino Hernandez - Terry Gordy + Brian Adias special referees; cage match; Reunion Arena

This is a superheated wild brawl. The cage is used to its advantage as a weapon. The pop is huge when Adams is unmasked. This was awesome and another nomination. On top of it we had a fun filled finish.

7. Rick Rude vs Lance Von Erich - Reunion Arena

LVE might be the prettiest of the pretty boy wrestlers. LVE is not a convincing worker. He works way too light for Texas. I'll give Rude big time points for that back drop he took. I thought this was fun and told a good story in the ring. LVE was awkward in some spots though. I thought this bout was so much better than the Parsons/Rude bout. Still not a nomination.

Missing Link recap.

8. John Tatum + Missy Hyatt vs Scott Casey + Sunshine - Reunion Arena

Missy does a good job at getting heat. The men did a good job incorporating the girls into the bout. I liked this and wouldn't oppose a nomination, but it won't be from me.

- highlights Gino Hernandez attacking Chris Adams

Extra material.

9. Freebirds vs Kerry, Kevin, + Lance Von Erich - Reunion Arena (jip)

This looks to be another awesome bout between the teams. The JIP, and clips kills this for me. The way Roberts gets tangled in the ropes was kick ass. We have so many great bouts between the teams that are complete we don't need a JIP.

int: Freebirds in a bar

Extra material. I don't get the need for a phantom change though.

10. Rick Rude vs Chris Adams (nc)

No finish shown. The bout was looking sweet though.

Watching this disc you would see how much talent Mantell would take with him to the UWF real soon. No wonder WCCW would be cripled.

“Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. One Man Gang (11/15/85)

Another fine bout between these two. This moves forward.

Lance Von Erich vs. “Handsome Halfbreed” Gino Hernandez (11/15/85)

This was less fine.

American Heavyweight Title: “Ravishing” Rick Rude © vs. Iceman King Parsons (11/28/85)

I liked this match better than you guys did, but I'm not going to go out of my way to fight for it. Camera misses the Rude Awakening on the concrete, which is disappointing.

Steel Cage Match: “Hollywood” John Tatum vs. Scott Casey (11/28/85)

This is an escape-rules cage match, which is weird to see outside of the W/WWF/E, and has the valets in the cage with the wrestlers. These are two gimmicks that really don't compliment each other well, and the result was a disappointing match. It's not bad, and I am not the kind of guy who is really down on escape-rules cage matches, but it is obvious that they are totally foreign to Tatum and Casey. They are moving so slowly towards the exit, and not just late in the match when they're tired or after they've been beaten down, but even early on or when they're in control. Both guys struggle with timing when stopping cage escapes, too. It really looks like they just don't get what they're supposed to be doing here, and honestly, I don't know why they're doing it instead of a straight cage match. Not a nomination.

Texas Tornado Decision Steel Cage Match w/Brian Adias & Terry Gordy as referees for the American Tag Titles: The Dynamic Duo (“Gentleman” Chris Adams & “Handsome Halfbreed” Gino Hernandez) vs. Kerry & Kevin Von Erich (11/28/85)

Another great match between these teams. This moves forward.
