Texas Tornado Decision Steel Cage Match w/Brian Adias & Terry Gordy as referees for the American Tag Titles: The Dynamic Duo (“Gentleman” Chris Adams & “Handsome Halfbreed” Gino Hernandez) vs. Kerry & Kevin Von Erich (11/28/85)

 

This is yet another awesome all-action brawl between these teams with the referee gimmick being used well although it would end up with both of them getting kicked out of the ring as Gordy was having problems with the Von Erichs. David Manning would take over as the referee which is what the Duo didn’t want. Adams would get his mask ripped off by the Von Erichs and he got a Superkick on Kevin as Gino loaded up his mask headbutting Kerry letting Adams get the win. Gino would get his mask ripped off after the match in a wild brawl. This was great stuff and another easy nomination.

6. Kerry + Kevin Von Erich vs masked Chris Adams + Gino Hernandez - Terry Gordy + Brian Adias special referees; cage match; Reunion Arena

 

This is a superheated wild brawl. The cage is used to its advantage as a weapon. The pop is huge when Adams is unmasked. This was awesome and another nomination. On top of it we had a fun filled finish.

Another great match between these teams. This moves forward.

Kevin & Kerry Von Erich vs. Dynamic Duo (Texas Tornado Cage Match)

- Adias and Gordy are special ring enforcers. Early on, Kerry and Kevin both go after a mask. The Duo is pissed off because the Enforcers are doing a half-assed job stopping the Von erichs from going after the masks. A lot of faces ramming into the cage. I can’t believe there hasn’t been any blood yet. Adais gets leveled by Gordy because Gordy tries to stop the VEs from ripping off the masks and Adias wants to let it continue. Manning come into the ring and the enforcers are removed. And Adams gets his mask removed but the cost for the Von Erichs was a superkick to Kevin’s head and a mark in the loss column. I love how the Von Erich’s desperation to remove the masks yielded the initial reward but cost them the tag team gold. However, after the match, they get Gino’s mask off as well as a consolation prize. Some bad camera work will hurt the match in rankings but it goes on. NOMINATION
