Posted November 16, 200816 yr comment_5435750 DVD #9 May 20th: Yokohama IWGP A League regular game／Antonio Inoki vs Yosiaki Fujiwara - Sadly, just highlights. May 22nd: The Gunma sport center IWGP・B League regular game／Masa Saito vs Umanosuke Ueda - Not so sadly, just highlights. May 25th: Miyagi IWGP Tag Championship／Nobuhiko Takada & Akira Maeda vs Kazuo Yamazaki & Yosiaki Fujiwara - Great match. Lots of sharp, violent exchanges, blood from Maeda, exciting finish. Easy nomination and I expect it will get top-20 votes. IWGP・A League regular game／Antonio Inoki vs Seiji Sakaguchi - Sakaguchi did some terrific armwork on his old ally, and the match got a bit heated when Inoki smacked the shit out of him in return. But it all felt a little too routine in the last five minutes, with Inoki shaking off all the punishment and finishing with his enzuigiri, octopus sequence. June 1st: Aichi prefecture gymnasium George Takano & Seiji Sakaguchi vs Super Strong Machine & Riki Choshu - This wasn't actually shown. Nobuhiko Takada & Osamu Kido vs Tony St. Clair & Kevin Von Erich - Kevin and Takada both seemed a bit off here. Though Kido and St. Clair contributed some nice work, the match never really found a flow or purpose. Yosiaki Fujiwara & Antonio Inoki vs Scott Hall & Masa Saito - Another match ruined by interference from the Pirate. I enjoyed Fujiwara slapping Saito right away to show he wasn't intimidated. And I also enjoyed him laying some stiff shots on Hall. Inoki didn't do much that I can recall.
