Posted November 20, 200816 yr comment_5435845 After really hating the first two matches on this disc, I was dreading working my way through all of this stuff. Thank you Villano 3, I really dug this, as we had lots of mat work and standing counters with everything looking really slick, which was especially impressive considering how awkward Sayama can often look. Finish was a little abrupt with Tiger Mask hitting a dive and winning by countout. It felt like it had more time to go. Still going to nominate it, but the ending keeps it from a slam dunk. November 20, 200816 yr comment_5435847 Villano III looks awesome in this and just does great job going over for stuff and making it look like opponent has him in a hammerlock. Opening sequences really sweet looking. There are a couple points mid match where felt like about to fall apart and III able to reel back in. The goofball bump to set up the dive for countout entertained me as well. I'm willing to send this forward but feels like it could fall off. Didn't like this as much as Hamaguchi v Dirty Rhodes. But I could see voters preferring this.
August 29, 200916 yr comment_5443489 I enjoyed this. Villano III did a nice job leading Tiger Mask through some nifty lucha sequences. But he wasn't allowed to be a serious enough factor in the match. He couldn't have been in offensive control for more than two minutes and never seemed a threat to win. I preferred the tag match featuring Villano III so I'm going to say no on this.
September 5, 200916 yr comment_5443858 There was some really cool shit in here but it comes back to the TM curse... the matwork. However, when they picked it up, they did some of the most beautiful sequences you may find on the set. I have seen MExicans work the mat before and Villano was constrained by having to lay there with TM for some dull work. Once you get the two of them on their feet, it was all good. I am going to go no also and I wish it was Stan Lane vs. Villano.
