Adams mocks Hayes' sexy jacket striptease entrance and then throws the jacket it in his face while he's complaining about it. Hayes blows his nose on the jacket, and then we're off on a fast-paced, action-packed little bout. They go to the mat early and do some fun stuff pitting Hayes' headscissors against Adams' Indian deathlock. They go from there to the brawling, the flying, the bumping, and of course, the superkicking, and it's all very high energy stuff. Finish might mar it a bit, as Hayes misunderstands the rules and gets DQ'd for not breaking a hold while Adams is in the ropes, but still, very fun match that should be an easy nomination.

December 9, 200915 yr comment_5446273 World Class TV Title: "Gentleman" Chris Adams © vs. Michael Hayes (7/16/84) Adams mocking Hayes' taking off his jacket schtick was pretty good. Adams was in full on MUGA mode here on the mat getting out of Hayes' headscissors Nishimura style then tying up Hayes' legs on the mat. After this we got some really fun action as Hayes was pretty rough here when on offense with Adams being solid selling before he would hit a Superkick out of nowhere. Hayes would recover and tried to hit a cross body block but bounced off the top rope and crashed to the floor. Hayes would still fight though and just pounded Adams' head into the turnbuckle until David Manning would call for the DQ since he hates the Freebirds. The action was really good here but goddamn did that finish blow and kills it's chance at a nomination.
