January 15, 200916 yr comment_5436784 Loser Leaves Town: “Gorgeous” Gary Young vs. “Flamboyant” Eric Embry (2/10/89) This wasn’t a technically good match but it was a great payoff to such a hot angle with both men being great in their roles. The fans were very hot for this and the drama surrounding the finish was tremendous. This also started the Harold Harris storyline which was great. Easy nomination.
March 15, 201015 yr comment_5448427 This was an excellent bout with Embry taking full advantage of the No DQ stip, pulling out all the stops to get payback on Young and Akbar. Almost immediately chucks Young over the top rope and handcuffs Akbar to the ropes to prevent him from getting involved, leading to a great, match-long freak out by Akbar. Great brawl before the No DQ stip comes back to bite Embry in the ass, leading to him losing the match. This was really well put together and perfectly executed. My top 30 is starting to get kinda crowded, but this is another match that could push it's way in. This moves forward.
