This was basically their match against each other, but was even more violent and stiff then the Showboat match. March 2, 201114 yr comment_5466399 Pretty sure the date on this should be 88 not 89. Anyway this was incredibly stiff and the audible nature of some of these shots made it better than what you get from some of the other non pro shot bouts of this era that were probably just as rugged. Still I would have a hard time going to bat for this for a set at this point given everything I have seen so far.
May 2, 201213 yr comment_5501481 "Chief" Wahoo McDaniel vs. "Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez (7/6/88) Fun seeing AWA HH's from around this time period. These two guys just beat the shit out of each other and this is what you want to see in a match between these two at this time. Lots of hatred here and this is the type of action I want to see on this set even with the crappy double countout finish. This moves forward easily IMO.
