Posted November 30, 200816 yr comment_5436079 Really good match. Fujinami was as good as anyone I've seen at "chop down the big guy" attacks. He focused on Khan's leg throughout, and Khan sold the damage unusually well (showing unsteadiness during his own moves, for example.) Khan also did well as the bear who could get himself out of trouble with a few swipes of his big paw. It became a little obvious after 20 minutes that they were going to a draw. But I didn't mind as they got across that they were attempting everything in their respective repertores to finish it. Nomination.
August 30, 200916 yr comment_5443538 Early on, they played this straight sticking to the mat with Fujinami dominating. Seriously, I think Khan's biggest move in the first ten minutes was the small package. With the dive into the crowd, this was almost becoming a squash match. Wehn Fujinami fights bigger opponents (Vader, Andre), he makes such an awesome babyface. Khan is best either mauling people with the exception of the Andre match where he played sympathetic underdog. I don't buy Khan as the underdog in this match and it was wierd to see Fujinami so dominant. This also has the no-sell piledriver on the concrete that we have come to expect but knocks points off anyways. The stretch run was pretty hot but I think in the attempt to make Fujinami Khan's equal, the match hurt as a result. I think Childs and I were watching a completely different match.
August 30, 200916 yr comment_5443544 I liked this more then Will but not as much as Childs, the pre dive stuff was kind of dull, you really don't want to see these two guys in long tie ups. The post dive stuff was pretty great and I loved both guys working over the mid sections. Thumbs up for me.
