DVD #8

4/16/82

Tiger Mask/Kengo Kimura vs. Blackman/Wright - Wright and Tiger Mask kept one upping each other with displays of agility. Maybe they needed a gymnastics judge rather than a referee. It was amusing though. Blackman did some neat stuff too. Poor Kimura, with his grounded style, looked terribly out of place. The match was more light fun than anything else but hey, no complaints about that.

Killer Khan vs. Andre - No comparison to their super match from two weeks earlier. Andre dominated for five minutes and then they brawled into the stands for the double countout.

Inoki/Fujinami vs. Murdock/Dusty - Dusty and Dick controlled the match to a ridiculous degree and then lost by DQ when they refused to stop double teaming Inoki.

4/21/82 special

Gran Hamada vs. Perro Aguayo - Good fun but only about five minutes.

Tiger Mask vs. Black Tiger - Both guys turned in fine performances, but this didn't stand out against the great mass of junior wrestling we're considering. I assume the May match that Phil nominated will outshine this one.

Abby vs. Fujinami - Fujinami always shines in the fiery underdog role, but this wasn't one of Abby's better showings. I think it needed more blood.

Inoki vs. Jesse Ventura - About as bad as you might imagine it being.
